To earn more money, you should unlock the Merchant and Thief.
The Merchant has a support skill that you unlock on Job Level 9 called More Money that lets you earn 1.5 times more money than normal after a battle. Meanwhile, the Thief is a job that allows you to steal from enemies, so steal their items and then sell them for more income.
You can get the Thief's Knife in Harena Ruins during your visit in Chapter 1. It has the ability Mug just like the Thief job, so you give this to a Thief and use Mug, it will activate twice so make sure to obtain this in the story.
If you want to double the amount of money that you get, you should prioritize upgrading the Accessory Shop when rebuilding Norende up to level 9 in order to get the Golden Egg.
The Golden Egg is an item that doubles the amount of money that you acquire, so it is ideal for people who want to make more money quickly. Note that you can't earn JP or EXP when equipping this accessory.
Norende Village Rebuilding Rewards and Max Level
In Bravely Default, you can change your encounter rate setting up to 200%. This means that you will encounter enemies more frequently if you set it this high up.
Once you reach Chapter 2, you can play one of the two new minigames to earn tokens which you can use to buy a special item that will increase your encounter rate up to 400%.
When you reach level 12 as a Freelancer, you can unlock the ability Lure Enemy which doubles the encounter rate when this ability is equipped. Note that this does not stack when other similar abilities are equipped, so you don't have to raise encounter rate if you have this equipped.
Freelancer Best Abilities and Unlock Condition
Aim for combat bonuses to increase your money intake after a battle ends.
Combat Bonus | Condition | Bonus |
---|---|---|
Sweeper | Killing at least 2 monsters in a single attack | PG+10% |
Sweeper Ace | Doing 5 "Sweeper" in a row | PG+20% |
Sweeper Hero | Doing 10 "Sweeper" in a row | PG+50% |
If you want to grind for money and JP, hunting Refflesias in Witherwood during Chapter 5 onwards is very efficient as they give a high amount of JP and money.

Beginner's Guide: Tips and Tricks
The description says that, but it lies. Have tested this myself. Only ONE instance of More Money applies, but it DOES stack with the Golden Egg. It's the opposite of what the in-game description says.
