How to Get Job Points (JP) Fast |

Leveling Freelancer up to level 10 will grant you the JP Up ability which lets you earn 1.2 times the normal amount of job points.

If you want to double the amount of JP that you get, you should prioritize upgrading the Accessory Shop when rebuilding Norende up to level 10 in order to get the Growth Egg.
The Growth Egg is an item that doubles the amount of EXP and JP acquired in exchange for no money, so it is ideal for people who want to make grinding JP more efficiently.

In Bravely Default, you can change your encounter rate setting up to 200%. This means that you will encounter enemies more frequently if you set it this high up.
Once you reach Chapter 2, you can play one of the two new minigames to earn tokens which you can use to buy a special item that will increase your encounter rate up to 400%.
When you reach level 12 as a Freelancer, you can unlock the ability Lure Enemy which doubles the encounter rate when this ability is equipped. Note that this does not stack when other similar abilities are equipped, so you don't have to raise encounter rate if you have this equipped.

Aim for combat bonuses to increase your JP and EXP after a battle ends. It is important to increase your Speed stat so you'll always move first before the enemy. Moving first means high chances of defeating the enemy without them taking their turn.
Combat Bonus | Condition | Bonus |
---|---|---|
1-turn Victor | Defeat all enemies on the first turn | EXP +10% |
1-turn Ace | Doing 5 times "1-turn Victor" in a row | EXP +20% |
1-turn Hero | Doing 10 times "1-turn Victor" in a row | EXP +50% |
Unscathed | Winning a battle without being hit by monsters | JP+10% |
Unscathed Ace | Doing 5 "Unscathed" in a row | JP+20% |
Unscathed Hero | Doing 10 "Unscathed" in a row | JP+50% |
When facing regular enemies that are slightly weaker than you, spam Brave on all your party members and deal devastating attacks against the enemies to defeat them within one turn. Defeating them within one turn increases the JP you get so make sure to utilize Brave when facing mobs.
While grinding for EXP and JP, make sure that you are close to Adventurers so you can heal quickly when your health is in a pinch during grinding.
How to Level Up Efficiently During Late Game |
---|
|
If you want to grind for JP, hunting Refflesias in Witherwood during Chapter 5 onwards is very efficient as they give a high amount of JP while still being weak enemies.
Witherwood Map and Chest Locations
Rafflesias are weak to Fire spells so have a Black Mage that can use Firaga to defeat a Rafflesia quickly. If your character is around level 60, you can kill a Rafflesia in one turn with four consecutive Firagas, which consumes Brave points .
Conjurer is a late game job that is very strong for grinding as it has the ability Obliterate (obtained at Level 9) that instantly kills enemies that are 20 levels lower than you at the start of the battle, making it an efficient way to grind at this stage of the game.
