Freelancer Best Abilities

Recommended Abilities

Ability
(Learning Level)
Reason for Recommendation
Late Bloomer Final stats are significantly boosted as more jobs are mastered.
Mimic
(Lv 14)
You can activate the ability or magic that you or your allies used just before without consuming any MP or BP. The amount of damage and recovery you inflict is determined by your own status.
Stand Ground
(Lv 13)
High chance of surviving even if the damage would make the character unable to fight. Useful for healers.
Prayer
(Lv 6)
When using abilities or magic that are based on probability, the success rate can be increased by 1.5 times.

Late Bloomer is Extremely Powerful

The ability boost effect of Late Bloomer applies to the total value of Strength + Weapon Attack Power. Not only does Strength increase, but Weapon Attack Power also rises by up to 24%. By combining it with support abilities that enhance attacks and proper equipment setup, even greater damage output can be achieved.

Additionally, using Mimic after Martial Arts allows for repeated high-powered attacks while conserving MP. If multiple jobs are mastered as a Freelancer, both physical and magical attack power are enhanced, making the character highly effective even in endgame content

How to Play the Freelancer

High Proficiency in All Types of Equipment

The Freelancer is a versatile job with high proficiency in all weapons and armor, making it highly adaptable. It has no major weaknesses, making it a solid all-rounder. Although it lacks specialization compared to dedicated attack or healing jobs, it is worth leveling up because it learns useful non-combat abilities.

Learn Abilities Useful for Exploration

The Freelancer primarily learns abilities that make traveling easier and provide an advantage in battle. Flee enables quick escapes from battle, making it useful when your HP or MP is low or when you want to reach your destination as fast as possible. Another advantage is that you can navigate safely in places with traps, such as poisonous swamps, by equipping Dungeon Master. Since Dungeon Master unlocks at Job Level 4, acquiring it early in the game is recommended.

Additionally, the job's specialty, Late Bloomer, significantly increases final stats as you master more jobs. Unlike other job specialties, Late Bloomer is inherently available and does not need to be learned.
