How to Unlock Ghosts of the Past
For this quest to be available, you will need to have spared Letho in your Witcher 2 save import or choose to save him when simulating a save.
You can start this quest while doing the secondary quest The Fall of the House of Reardon or by going straight to Reardon Manor.
Is Ghosts of the Past Missable or Failable?
This quest can fail if you decline to come with Letho to see Louis.
Ghosts of the Past Walkthrough
| Objectives | |
|---|---|
| 1 | Head towards the left door of the western house. A cutscene will play. |
| 2 | Go inside the barn to the south. |
| 3 | Examine the ladder on the ground in one of the south stables. Recieve 25 XP for finding Letho. |
| 4 | Kill the 8 bounty hunters. |
| 5 | Follow Letho on horseback. |
| 6 | Fight Louis and 4 of his men. Beating them will give you 50 XP. |
| 7 | Follow Letho on horseback. |
| 8 | Choose to interfere or walk away. It is recommended to walk away. If you do choose to interfere you will have to fight 4 of the bounty hunters |
| 9 | You can invite Letho to Kaer Morhen, making him available to help during The Battle of Kaer Morhen. |
Ghosts in the Past Not Starting?
Simulate a Witcher 2 Save and Spare Letho
If the quest does not start upon arivall at the Reardon Manor and there are no wraiths, it would mean you did not spare Letho in a simulated save.
To get it to start, you would need to need to simulate a save upon starting a new game, then when being interviewed by Morvran, you tell him you did not kill Letho.
How to Get Letho to Help During The Battle of Kaer Morhen
Invite Letho to Kaer Morhen
At the end of the quest, you can invite Letho to Kaer Morhen. If you do that he will help during the main quest The Battle of Kaer Morhen.
