How to Unlock Return to Crookback Bog
This quest is unlocked after completing the main quest Family Matters.
Is Return to Crookback Bog Missable or Failable?
This quest will fail after the player has started the main quest The Isle of Mists. It can also fail if the player strays too far from the Bloody Baron on the way to the orphanage.
Return to Crookback Bog Walkthrough
| Objectives | |
|---|---|
| 1 | Head to the villlage of Downwarren and talk to the Bloody Baron. |
| 2 | Follow the Bloody Baron. If you walk too far away from the Bloody Baron, the quest will fail. |
| 3 | 4 Drowners will appear in the swamp. Slay them to continue. |
| 4 | Continue following the Baron. A Drowner, 2 Rotfiend and a Water Hag will appear. Kill them all. |
| 5 | Follow the Baron to the orphanage of Crookbag Bog. Help the Witch Hunters kill the 4 Drowners. |
| 6 | After finding Anna, 4 Drowners and 2 Water Hags will appear. Kill enough and a Fiend will appear right after. Killing them all will give you 200 XP |
| 7 | If you killed the spirit in the quest The Whispering Hillock the quest will end here. If you freed the spirit you will have to continue on to the next objectives. |
| 8 | Head to Johnny's burrow. There will be a Water Hag and 2 drowners outside. |
| 9 | After calling for Johnny, use your Witcher Senses to find his footprints. Follow the trail. |
| 10 | Talk to Johnny. Then head back to the others to tell them what happened to Anna. |
| 11 | Head into the crowns hut and go down the cellar. You will need to pick between 4 dolls. The right one is the doll with the Violet Hollyhock Bloom. Recieve 300 XP after liftin the curse. |
| 12 | Return to Crow's Perch to receive your pay. |

Use Samum Bomb to Disable Fiend's Hypnosis
If you successfuly hit the Fiend with a Samum Bomb, it will not able to use it's hypnosis for the rest of the fight.
