The Type of a Monster will determine what Oil it is weak against. For example, Monsters of the Necrophage Type will receive 10% extra damage from Swords coated in Necrophage oil.

Fighting Noonwraiths is similar to dealing with Nightwraiths. Their main difference would be the time of day when you can fight them.
The best way to deal with Noonwraiths is to plant Yrden Sign traps to force the Noonwraiths to become corporeal allowing your Silver Sword to deal damage to it. You can also do this by throwing Moon Dust Bombs at it if you are having trouble fighting around the Yrden Sign trap.
You should use your Silver Sword and coat it with Specter oil to deal bonus damage to them. Prepare Moon Dust Bombs to force the Noonwraith to become corporeal and take damage from your Silver Sword.
