How to Get

Pet Deathspine Nighthawks

Strigine Plumes are dropped by Deathspine Nighthawks after you pet them. However, do note that they are hostile when alerted, so make sure to approach them from behind to prevent startling them.

Deathspine Nighthawks are native to Fuyufusagi Fort. However, you can also start finding them in Natsukodachi Isle once you reach Chapter 3 of the main story.

How to Pet Kemono

Wait for Poison to Wear Off Before Attempting to Pet Again

Deathspine Nighthawks will start building up your poison meter while you pet them. If it goes to full, you will become poisoned which also stops the petting attempt. To get the material after being poisoned, wait until the poison debuff wears off before attempting to pet the Deathspine Nighthawk again.

Use the Detailed Map to Find Small Kemono Locations

Since the amount of Small Kemonos that spawn vary by map instance, players will need to use their own Detailed Map View to track the locations of ones they want to hunt.

To track Small Kemono, open up the Detailed Map and switch to the Small Kemono Filter at the bottom left of the map screen. Hover over any of the circular icons on the map to see the Kemono's name.

Strigine Plume can be used to craft and upgrade specific weapons. Weapon crafting and upgrade unlocks once you reach Chapter 2.
