In the Depths of Night Quest Location

Go to Queen's Palace Ruins

In the Depths of Night is located at Breezy Meadow, in the Heartcraft Kingdom region.

If you've already discovered the Warp Spire, you can teleport to Queen's Palace Ruins Entrance. Otherwise, you can rent a Whimcycle from any bike rental spot in Breezy Meadow, then head southeast until you reach the Palace Ruins.

How to Unlock In the Depths of Night

Complete the Prerequisites

Quest Unlock Requirements
	Mysterious Prelude
	Go to the Dream Warehouse!

Mysterious Prelude is unlocked after completing the Mysterious Prelude quest from the Song of the Lost event quest chain.

Mysterious Prelude will only be available for a limited time alongside the duration of the Song of the Lost event, which ends on March 25, 2025 so make sure to complete it before then!

These are all the steps you need to take in order to complete the In the Depths of Night quest. Select a step to jump to its section!

Talk to Locke Outside Palace Ruins

For the first step of this quest, talk to Locke, who is panicking behind a broken wall outside the Palace Ruins. He is found just north of the Queen's Palace Ruins Entrance Warp Spire.

Note that you need to talk to him during the day (04:00 - 22:00) so you will need to change the time if it's currently evening.

How to Change Time

Head to Entrance of Palace Ruins

Head to the archway south of Locke, which is the entrance to the Palace Ruins. You will enter into a cutscene where you meet Livie, a living doll.

Note that you need to advance to the time to evening (22:00 - 03:00) so you will need to change the time if it's currently daytime.

Investigate the Strange Doll

Interact with Livie, the strange doll, to advance the quest and receive the quest item Livie's Suitcase, allowing you to bring Livie around with you.

Head to Violin Statue and Take a Photo

Head further southeast into the palace grounds until you see a fountain statue of a large violin. Bring out your camera and take a photo of the violin statue. This will cause a ghost to appear on top of the statue.
How to Take Pictures with the Camera

Chase After the Ghost Sentinel

Chase after the Ghost Sentinel southeast into the palace proper. You will pass through a tunnel, after which the ghost runs off ahead of you.

Pick Up All Lampblooms

Past the tunnel, you will find an upward sloping path full of Lampblooms. If you run up the path and try to advance without collecting all Lampblooms, you will be sent back to the start in a never-ending loop.

In order to advance, you must collect all Lampblooms in the path.

Continue Chasing After the Ghost

Continue along the palace path until you find the Queen's Palace Ruins Front Yard Warp Spire. The ghost will be hiding in a hole in the wall next to the Warp Spire.

Approach the ghost to enter a cutscene, after which you will receive the quest items Ancient Badge and Damaged Old Photo

Find the Shadowed Grin

Head past the Warp Spire into the main palace courtyard where you will find a fountain at the center with huge bright flowers growing all over. Find the Shadowed Grin a little northwest of this fountain. Approach him to enter a cutscene.

Collect All Black Blings

Black Blings will appear surrounding the nearby fountain. Collect all Black Blings in the area to advance to the next part of the quest. We recommend going in a counter-clockwise motion around the fountain.

Take Photo of Painting

Head south and jump onto the trampoline to make it to the 2nd floor of the palace. The painting will be right through the open door. Take a photo of this painting with your camera.

Collect the Rest of the Black Blings

The painting will point you where to go next. Head back down to the courtyard and you will find a trail of Black Blings at the southern part of the castle. Follow this trail of Black Blings to the end to obtain all of them.

Head Back to Strange

Head back to Strange near the fountain to obtain the Ancient Locket quest item.

Climb to the Top of the Castle

Follow these steps to clmb your way to the very top of the Queen's Palace in order to find White Hands.

	How to
1	Jump onto the trampoline to reach the 2nd floor.
2	From here, jump onto the bouncy leaf to move up another floor.
3	Find the Blings that lead you to a window. Jump on top of the window and head into the hole in the wall.
4	Head up the stairs and jump onto the first trampoline you see to get to an even higher floor.
5	Move past the Warp Spire and jump onto the last trampoline to reach the very top of the tower.

Talk to White Hands

Once you reach the top, you will enter a cutscene where you converse with Ms. Glove and receive the Ancient Ring quest item.

Go to Inner Court Entrance

Head to the Inner Court Entrance, which is right behind where Strange is located. Approach the quest icon to enter another cutscene where you converse with an Eerie Will-o'-Wisp.

This is the final step of the In the Depths of Night quest, after which In the Lonely Song is revealed to be your next quest but will only be accessible on March 5, 2025.

Echoes of the Past is an event-exclusive quest tied to the Song of the Lost event, which is part of The Queen's Lament group of events during Infinity Nikki's Version 1.3 Eerie Season update.
