How to Groom Animals

Craft the Bye-Bye Dust Outfit

Craft the Bye-Bye Dust outfit to gain access to the Animal Grooming ability. You can get the sketch for this outfit by spending two Whimstars in the Heart of Infinity during the Land of Wishes Main Quest.

Once you have the sketch, you will need four daisies and twenty-four Threads of Purity to craft Bye-Bye Dust. Daisies can be found scattered across the overworld while Threads of Purity is obtained by completing quests, raising Mira Level, and clearing challenges.

Equip Bye-Bye Dust

Be sure to have the Bye-Bye Dust outfit equipped so you can use its ability.

Bye-Bye Dust Outfit and Evolutions

Approach the Animal

Hold down the ability button to approach an animal slowly. The animal might run away if you walk up to them without caution.

Release the Ability Button

When you get close enough to an animal with Bye-Bye Dust equipped, a brush icon will appear above them. Release the ability button once you see this pop up.

A short cutscene will play after successfully grooming an animal and you will receive your crafting materials.
