Dungeons are special locations that have special instances in the overworld. Entering a dungeon will not move Nikki in the open-world map.

Have Their Own Whimstar and Dew Counters

Dungeons Have Their Own Counters

Dungeons also have their own Whimstar and Dew counters while inside. Collecting each one will count towards the total number of Whimstars or Dews for the region the dungeon is in.

Dungeons are also usually part of quests and have their own themes. It is a joy to explore because it acts like a domain that have its own miniature world inside.
