You will automatically fail this quest once you talk to Damien during the quest Capture the Castle.
The Warble of a Smitten Knight Walkthrough
| Objectives | |

| 1 | Talk to Guillaume at the Medics Tent in the Tourney Grounds. |
| 2 | Complete the different trainings Guillaume offers you. |
| 3 | Go to the inscription tent and talk to the Scribe to enter the tournament. |
| 4 | Examine the clues in the tent using your Witcher Senses. |
| 5 | Go back to the tournament grounds and participate in the race. |
| 6 | (Optional) Defeat Anséis in mounted combat. Defeat Arthur and some thugs in a fist fight. |
| 7 | Go to Vivienne's tent and follow the bird. |
| 8 | Decide whether to tell Guillaume about the curse and if you will continue the tournament. |
| 9 | Defeat the Knights and Sir Gregoire. |
| 10 | Kill the Panther at the Glade. |
| 11 | Return to Guillaume for your reward. NOTE: This objective is only available if you did not tell Guillaume about Vivienne's Curse. |

Panther
- Coat your Steel Sword with Beast Oil to deal bonus damage to them.
- You can cast the Signs; Aard, Igni, and Axii to affect them with statuses and give yourself an opening to attack.

- Coat your Silver Sword with Necrophage Oil to deal bonus damage to them.
- Cast the Axii Sign on them to stun them for a significant amount of time and attack them from behind.

- Coat your Silver Sword with Spectre Oil to deal bonus damage to them.
- You can cast the Yrden Sign and fight around it to give yourself a lot of time to dodge their fast attacks.

- During this fight you cannot use Signs or Bombs, so the best way to deal with them is to attack them from behind while they are distracted by your team.
Sir Gregoire
- Sir Gregoire has no weaknesses, so the best way you can deal with him is by attacking him from behind whenever he is vulnerable.
