How to Unlock Of Dairy and Darkness
Talk to the merchant in the Gildorf district in Novigrad. He will tell you about the artifacts which will start the quest. You can also start the quest by finding the Aeramas' Abandoned Manor. It is recommended to buy the Lizard Figurine (40 Crowns) if you do start the quest at the merchant.

This quest is not failable.
Of Dairy and Darkness Walkthrough
| Objectives | |
|---|---|
| 1 | Head to the marked area in Aeramas' Abandoned Manor. |
| 2 | Examine the magic circle. If you have the Lizard Figurine, interact with the magic circle again. If you do not, head to the merchant in the Gildorf District in Novigrad and buy it from him. Enter the portal. |
| 3 | Navigate through the maze made of toxic gas. You can not use Igni or Aard on the gas. On the other side of the maze is a ledge you will have to climb up. |
| 4 | Climb up the stairs. Receive 50 XP while going up the stairs. |
| 5 | When you reach the empty room, interact with the archway on the other side of the room. Walk through the portal. |
| 6 | Go down into water. Dive into the water and take the northern passage. |
| 7 | After you reach the other side, go deeper into the cave by climbing up the ledges. |
| 8 | When you reach the lab, a Foglet will attack you. |
| 9 | Open the box located on the desk. Loot the Bull figurine and Aerama's notes. |
| 10 | Inspect the archway near the desk to activate the portal using the Bull figurine. Walkthrough the portal. Receive 50 XP on the other side. |
| 11 | To disable the force field, you will need to use Igni one the pyramids located on the north and south walls respectively. The south pyrmid is behind an illusionary wall that The Eye of Nehaleni can dispel. |
| 12 | Head to the statue of a man holding cheese and loot the chest and sword in front of it to end the quest. Receive 75 XP for completing the quest. |

Hidden Wall
There is an illusionary wall nearby the desk with the Bull figurine. Use The Eye of Nehaleni to dispel it. On the other side will be some notable loot.
Is Of Dairy and Darkness Worth It?
Of Dairy and Darkness is not worth doing
We do not recommend doing this quest. The benefits that you gain from this quest are not very useful for your progression in the game. Finishing this quest will be mainly for the sake of the game's completion and to have more knowledge about the Witcher World.
