 Head to Rosemary and Thyme in Novigrad To begin the quest, you must go to Zoltan Chivay at Rosemary and Thyme and play him in Gwent. |

 Play Zoltan Chivay Zoltan Chivay runs a Scoia'tael deck, and you can either play Scorch cards to remove multiple Muster units from the field or bring Biting Frost and Impenetrable Fog to counter his Muster and Agile units. |

 Go to the Temerian Partisan Hideout Head to the Temerian Partisan Hideout below the Vegelbud Residence and you'll find Vernon Roche, who's ready to play you in a game of Gwent. |

 Head to Nowhere Inn in Novigrad You can challenge Lambert to a game of Gwent during Following the Thread, but if you've already finished the quest without beginning Old Pals, then you can find Lambert at the Nowhere Inn. Progressing through the Main Quests in Skellige will place him at Kaer Morhen instead. |

 Play Lambert Lambert plays a Scoia'tael deck, and you can use the exact same strategy of bringing Scorch or Weather cards against Close Combat and Ranged units to reduce his point total. |

 Head to the Seven Cats Inn Near Novigrad If you finished A Deadly Plot before playing Vernon Roche, then you must also play Thaler to finish the quest, who can be found at the Seven Cats Inn. Otherwise, you must play him in Gwent Quest: Playing Thaler instead. |

 Play Thaler Just like Zoltan Chivay and Lambert, Thaler plays a Scoia'tael deck with multiple Muster and Agile units, so make sure you have Biting Frost and Impenetrable Fog or Scorch cards to combat his cards. |
