You can get this quest by taking the notice from the notice board in Crow's Perch. Alternatively, you can also start this quest by challenging the Bloody Baron in Crow's Perch to a game of Gwent.

 Go to the Baron's Office at Crow's Perch You can find the Bloody Baron in his office at Crow's Perch and challenge him to a game of Gwent as soon as Family Matters. |

 Play the Bloody Baron The Bloody Baron has a Northern Realm deck and uses a lot of Spy cards. Use these Spy cards to gain a point advantage and either take a round or force him to play the additional cards he drew. |

 Collect the Baron's Notes Alternatively, the Baron will no longer be in his office after Return to Crookback Bog, and you can find his notes in his office instead. Collect and read it to get his card and continue the quest. |

 Go to Oreton Afterward, you can go to Oreton to play the Boatwright in Gwent. |

 Play the Boatwright The Boatwright uses a Nilfgaardian Empire deck with lots of high powered cards. You can use Scorch to remove these cards from play and decrease his point total. After beating the Boatwright, you can either head to the Old Sage or to Haddy if you've beaten the Sage already. |

 Go to Benek You can head to Benek where the Old Sage has been waiting for you to play a game of Gwent. |

 Play the Old Sage The Old Sage plays a Monsters deck with a lot of Close Combat units with the Muster effect. You can use Scorch to remove the Muster units from play or use Biting Frost to reduce the strength of the Close Combat cards. Head to the Boatwright after beating the Old Sage or to Haddy if the Boatwright has already been beaten. |

 Go to Midcopse Your final opponent, Haddy, can be found at Midcopse. Talk to the kid and challenge him to a game of Gwent. |

 Play Haddy Haddy has a Northern Realm deck and uses Special Cards such as Scorch and Impenetrable Fog. You can bait Haddy into using Scorch by playing higher value units. You can then play units with effects such as Muster or Tight Bond or summon your removed card from your discard pile using a Medic card. Bring Clear Weather to counter his Weather cards. |
