How to Fight Griffins

How to Fight

The best way to fight a Griffin is to force it down to the ground, hit it with bombs then try and attack it from behind. You can force it down to the ground by using the Aard Sign when it tries to swoop down and claw you while flying. When the Griffin is on the ground, you can throw a Grapeshot Bomb to stun it or a Northern Wind Bomb to freeze it in place. Doing this will give you ample time to attack it from behind.

What Preparations to Make?

You should use your Silver Sword and coat it with Hybrid oil to deal bonus damage to them. Prepare some Grapeshot Bombs and Northern Wind Bombs for the battle when you are able to force it down to the ground.

Special Sign Effects

  • Aard - This can knock it down from the sky when it is trying to attack you while flying.
