How to Win and Tips for Swimming!

1. Dolphin Kick Makes the Race Easier

Since most of the race is underwater, be sure to equip the Dolphin Kick badge. This badge makes it easier to manuever the course as you can effectively avoid the obstacles.

2. Be Careful of Goombas in Unexpected Places

At the beginning of the stage, there is Goomba sleeping atop a tree. When you jump to get out of the water, the Goomba will be in a position where it is likely to hit you, so be careful of this!

3. Ride the Water's Current

Underwater, there are places where water flows in the direction where you are supposed to swim to. These currents will boost your speed, so get to them as much as you can to leave the Wiggler in the sand dust!

4. You are Faster on the Ground

When you reach the middle of the course, there is a place where you can get out of the water and go up the trees. You are faster on land as you can dash, just make sure you do not fall back into the water!

5. Dolphin Kick can Break Blocks

There is no need to go around the block near the end of the stage. If you hit the block at the end of the stage with a dolphin kick, the blocks will break and you can proceed to the end!
