All Characters Play the Same, Except for Yoshi and Nabbit

Super Mario Wonder - Character Special Powers

Characters don't play any differently, or have special powers by default and will play the same as the others except for Yoshi and Nabbit.

Yoshi and Nabbit won't take any damage on any world and stage, making them a good choice for players new to platform games. However, Yoshi and Nabbit can't pick up power-ups in exchange for invincibility, like the Mushroom or the Elephant power-up!

Characters Can See Specific Hidden Blocks

Super Mario Wonder - Specific Characters Seeing Specific Blocks

Using a particular character on a stage may show hidden blocks in the area, allowing all players to spot and useful items like power-ups or coins. You can still get those blocks using other characters, but only assuming that you hit the hidden spots!

How to Unlock Characters

All Characters are Unlocked by Default

Super Mario Wonder - Characters Unlocked by Default
All characters in Super Mario Bros Wonder are playable right at the start of the game. It means you don't have to do anything specific inside a world or stage to unlock a character!

No Unlockable Secret Characters in Super Mario Wonder

All the playable characters are unlocked immediately from the start, and there are no Secret Unlockable Characters in Super Mario Wonder.

Despite the lack of Secret Playable Characters, there is a Secret NPC, Captain Toad, who you can find hidden in Worlds! Finding Captain Toad grants you rewards, so be on the lookout for hidden pipes!
