Houses infested by a Piranha Plant contain Badges you can use in any stage. You can unlock a Badge by collecting and using Wonder Seeds on those houses and completing the tutorial or challenge courses!
You can equip and use a Badge after selecting a course in any world. Press the R button after selecting the stage to choose one from your Badge Collection.
Note that you can only equip one Badge in a stage!
You can also select a Badge after failing a stage, giving you a chance to use the appropriate Badge for the level. You can skip this part if you think you already have the right badge for the stage!
