How to Save Manually
Press the Plus Button on Your Controller on the World Map
When you're in the World Map, you can bring up the Main Menu if you press the Plus button(+) on your controller. It will bring up different options including manually saving your game.
Unfortunately, you cannot save manually when you are playing a course and can only do it when on the world map.
Choose the Save Option on the Main Menu
On the main menu, you will see the Save button in the middle. Click the Save button so you can save your progress.
Does the Game Have an Autosave Feature?
Autosave Activates When Changing Settings or Clearing a Course
The game automatically saves on certain periods like after finishing a course, exiting an unfinished level, exiting a shop, and changing the settings.
The game will show the word Saving with an icon similar to a buffer icon when it autosaves.
How Does Autosave Work?
Does Not Occur When No Action is Taken
The autosave feature will not occur if you have not done any action in a while. This means that autosave will only occur if you did an action like completing a course or buying an item from a shop.
There is no Option or Setting to Turn Off Autosave
Unfortunately, if you keep losing lives and don't want the game to save that, then you'll have to bear with it as the game doesn't give you an option to turn off autosave on the Options in the main menu.
