How to Dash

Dashing allows your characters to quickly run through courses in Super Mario Bros Wonder and even reach higher places when you jump! Read on to learn how to dash and run faster!

How to Dash

Hold the Y Button

To dash, you'll need to hold down the Y Button while moving with the Left Thumbstick. Your character will slightly crouch when holding down the Y button, signaling that they're ready to dash!

You Can Change the Controls

By default, the Dash button shares the same button as the Attack Button. This means that while dashing while powered up with a Fire Flower or Elephant Fruit, your character will attack at the start of the dash.

You can always change the Dash or Attack Button by mapping it on the Y or B button in the Settings Menu if you want your character to not attack at the start of the dash.

Fast Dash Badge

The Fast Dash Badge allows your character to dash faster when equipped. It also increases your normal walk speed, even across sandy areas, making it a great Badge to equip for fast runs!
