List of Contents
Update Date | Fighter | Summary |
---|---|---|
10/17 | Moved to S tier • Arya's movement speed has been increased while her Down + Attack has been tweaked giving her more opportunities to start combos. | |
10/17 | Harley Quinn | Moved to B tier • While Harley hasn't received any direct nerfs, buffs to other characters as well as the introduction of newer ones have put her in a tight spot. She still works well in the hands of players that main her but the current roster just has too many better options for her to remain in the S tier. |
10/17 | Batman | Moved to B tier • Patch 1.3.3 sees a number of nerfs to Batman's kit, namely to his Batarang and the removal of the Weakness debuff from his Up + Air attack. |
10/17 | Superman | Moved to B tier • Nerfs to Superman in previous patches along with the addition of the Broken Wings perk to the game greatly diminishes his ease of use, requiring players to spend more time perfecting combos as compared to before. |
Teen Titan member Raven joins the MultiVersus roster as the newest fighter! Her moveset lands her in the B tier, as her moveset works well in team play but can get slow and be easily avoided. Despite this, her pressure with Lenore can make for some great plays especially when played with a high damage ally!
S Tier - Characters in the S tier are a cut above the rest, often being very impactful in every match they are in. Their presence in a match cannot be ignored and their contribution to a fight cannot be understated.
A Tier - Characters in the A tier are characters who are perfectly viable and can contribute decently to a match. Just because they are a tier below S, does not mean they are less viable as these characters are also powerful in their own right.
B Tier - B Tier characters are also viable characters but may have some weaknesses in their tool kits. They may require more skill and effort to operate compared to characters higher up the list.
C Tier - Characters in this tier require specialists to play them to their full potential. Using a character from this tier will require hefty matchup knowledge and game knowledge.
Characters are evaluated based on their performance in 2v2 Battles, the standard format for MultiVersus. Note that a character's 1v1 potential is excluded from consideration from this Tier List.

Power Level | Team Impact | Ease-of-Use |
Each of these factors determines a character's place within the tier list. Read on to learn what they refer to exactly:
Character | Summary |
---|---|
Arya Stark | ・Face-Stealer allows Arya to stun enemies and copy their moves, allowing for great mix-up potential. ・Arya's Knife-Thrower move allows her to set up combos and move across the stage with ease. |
Joker | ・Combos can deal massive damage, especially with his charged attacks. ・Balloonatic! provides good mobility for Joker or his ally during chaotic fights. ・Brushed and Ready! and Blastoff! have good ringout potential. |
Rick | ・Rick is a great combination of having a strong base kit in his zoning tools that beginners can easily access, whilst also having a complexity that specialists can unlock to create very interesting combos. ・While many of Rick's abilities run on cooldowns, he has enough variety and duration on them that his presence will always be felt on the arena. ・Plenty of utility in Rick's kit thanks to the buffs, debuffs, and evasion built into his abilities. |
Shaggy | ・Shaggy has a straightforward, beginner-friendly playstyle with the simple condition of buffing himself to reach maximum potential. ・ The ease of Shaggy's combos combined with his damage output ensure that you will always be more than capable of bringing opponents into knockout territory. ・ In addition to being buffed stats-wise with his rage, Shaggy's moves also gain mix-ups like hitting for more times, adding more nuance to learning his kit. |
Wonder Woman | ・Wonder Woman offers a lot of support by applying armor to the team, blocking projectiles, and using her shield as a temporary platform, making her a great ally during 2v2s. ・Her Lasso of Truth skill can pull allies towards her, saving them from falling and being KOed. It can also grapple an enemy, pulling her closer to engage in close combat. |
Character | Summary |
---|---|
Agent Smith | ・Even without a reliable gap closer, Agent Smith's moveset allows him to get around the playing area fairly easily. ・C#-Shooter is a very versatile move that can be used with any combo either for additional damage or for a possible ring out. |
Beetlejuice | ・Get A Load'A This deals decent damage, especially when charged, and knocks away opponents. ・Moveset lets him cover lots of ground when fighting opponents ・Passive gives element of surprise when fighting with an ally. |
Black Adam | ・Black Adam has excellent combo potential and can easily string together different moves in his kit. ・He can perform horizontal and vertical combos to KO enemies. |
Bugs Bunny | ・Bugs Bunny's moves make him an effective combatant at any range. ・Bunny Burrow allows him to maintain the proper spacing for both offense and defense. |
Garnet | ・A beginner friendly character that can deal lots of damage to enemies up close. ・Great to use with a team as this lets her make full use of her buffs that helps everyone out with their movement speed and melee attacks. |
Gizmo | ・Special moves are fantastic when fighting multiple enemies. ・Moveset works better when playing with allies to support them rather than as a solo character due to his low damage. |
Nubia | ・Despite having no projectile attacks, both Pull of Charybdis and Aerial Charybdis allow her to close the gap between enemies and unleash combos in quick succession. ・Her kit allows you to take fights alone all while having Royal Step/Hunter's Surge to dash back to an ally to safety or to start combos. |
Powerpuff Girls | ・The Powerpuff Girls have a lot of knockback in their kit, allowing for plenty of ways to knock opponents off the platform. ・While their passive allows players to change their playstyle, it has a bit of a learning curve especially when switching a leader mid-combo. |
Samurai Jack | ・Samurai Jack has plenty of moves in his kit that can knock enemies back, which allow him to get ring outs at surprisingly low damage without having to do complex combos. ・His kit is also great for teamplay as you can easily get Weakened stacks off on enemies when being aggressive while also keeping allies safe by giving them grey health or armor. |
Stripe | ・Stripe is effective on his own in both melee and ranged combat. ・You can freely toss projectiles towards your enemies and rush towards them immediately to try and go for the kill. |
Tom and Jerry | ・Despite being a mage, Tom and Jerry excel in both short and long-ranged fights. ・The ability to throw and attack with Jerry makes it easier to control the fight. |
Character | Summary |
---|---|
Banana Guard | ・Banana Guard can be considered an easier alternative to Shaggy that focus on self-buffing and attacking without having to consider any passive abilities. ・Great horizontal reach, but many of Banana guard's moves are slow so caution is required when playing with them. ・Banana Guard lacks any real mix-ups in their attacks, so they can be very predictable in an actual fight against players. |
Batman | ・Batarang works very well as a ranged attack since you can control it as it moves. ・Good move speed and melee damage make him a very easy character to pick up. ・Normal attacks + passive allow for constant Weakened stacks on opponents. |
Finn | ・Finn is a ramp-up character so it takes him some time to reach max potential, but simply attacking and pressuring the enemy is enough to accumulate Coins for Finn so he can get items. ・Plenty of horizontal mobility means Finn is readily capable of initiating attacks or doing follow-up combo attacks on distant enemies. |
Harley Quinn | ・Most of Harley Quinn's moves are multi-hit combos, which can help you consistently trigger Confetti Time! ・Harley Quinn's speed makes her hard to pin down. |
Jake | ・Jake's normal attacks can be used to easily form combos. ・His stretch attacks allow him to consistently get on top of the enemy, forcing them into close-range fights. |
Jason | ・Difficult to knock out due to his passive ability, Relentless. ・Jason's moves lack combo potential but have powerful knockbacks. ・The Mist Step allows Jason to constantly pressure enemies. |
LeBron | ・Quite difficult to master, but the mastery pays off, as LeBron offers great combos with his moveset, and in style too! ・LeBron's Buckets! move allows him to pass his basketball to teammates, granting them a projectile, more or less making them Hybrid for one attack. |
Marvin the Martian | ・Marvin is a great choice for players who wish to have full control of their projectiles. ・Controlling projectiles can lead to pressuring your enemies into making mistakes. ・His ability to dispatch enemies with his blaster makes him a nightmare to deal with when you get caught off guard in the air as well. |
Raven | ・Requires practice to get consistent combos but once mastered, can do great knockup combos ・Her companion Lenore is great for zoning out enemies and Friendly Familiar passive can be useful in team play. |
Superman | ・Superman is one of the safest characters for beginners to play, with plenty of mobility for aggression, built-in protection thanks to the armor on his charged abilities and passive granting upward dodges. ・Superman can be used for either unrelenting combos anywhere in the arena or for uninterruptable power punches. |
Velma | ・Supportive Words, Fast Thinker, and Spread The Knowledge work very well when playing with an ally due to the buffs they give. ・Lack of a reliable evade make her easy to attack. ・Passive can be a good method of ringing out opponents. |
Character | Summary |
---|---|
Iron Giant | ・Large model allows him to hit opponents easily. ・Movement speed is very slow. ・Passive allows him to recovery easily and dodge projectiles. |
Morty | ・Grenades provide constant pressure to opponents. ・Kit has a high skill ceiling and requires time to master. |
Reindog | ・Reindog has a good amount of specials up his sleeve that can benefit the team greatly while also being able to turn the fight into a complete slog for his opponents. ・He is best used in a team as he provides much needed buffs in order to get the job done. |
Steven Universe | ・Steven's main gimmicks, his platforms and Rose's Gaze passive, can be difficult to play around and can end up unintentionally giving enemy fighters an advantage. ・His utility as a support is very jack-of-all trades through minor heals, armor, and summons, with a certain emphasis on projectile nullification. |
Taz | ・While excellent on the ground, Taz has few reliable options in the air. ・Some of Taz's moves are very situational and require specific conditions to maximize their potential. |
