Use this to start any of your ground combo attacks.
Up
(Up + Attack)
Telekinetic Barrage - MultiVersus
Telekinetic Barrage
Effect: Charge, Projectile
Raven charges before throwing a large rock projectile into the air. The throw angle can be influenced forward or backward. The rock can be redirected by some of Raven's other attacks.
You can use this to set up an ally's combos or as a defensive tool to disrupt any any combos with the rock's descent.
Down
(Down + Attack)
Back Off! - MultiVersus
Back Off!
Effect: Knockback, Charge
A magical tendril attack th at deals upward knockback to enemies both in front of and behind Raven.

Neutral
(Neutral + Special)
Soul-Self Projection - MultiVersus
Soul-Self Projection
A short magical burst around Raven. If Lenore is in the area, the burst instead spawns around Lenore. While you can use this to quickly get an enemy away from you, this move can also be used offensively to knock enemies in the air to begin a combo.
Side
(Side + Special)
Quoth the Raven... - MultiVersus
Quoth the Raven...
Effect: Heavy Projectile, Knockback
Raven infuses some of her magic into her pet bird, Lenore, and unleashes the bird as a heavy projectile into the arena. Raven can release the special button to place Lenore and spawn a small detonation attack at Lenore's location. Lenore can be picked up by allies to transfer Raven's magic to her ally. If Lenore is idle in the arena, enemies can melee attack Lenore three times to remove her. While Lenore is within range, Raven can use this attack again to knockback all enemies in between Raven and Lenore. Placing Lenore applies a cooldown. While Lenore is on cooldown, Raven instead spawns a wisp that she can detonate at a location.
You can use this to zone out enemies from certain areas or just to keep pressure on them.
Up
(Up + Special)
Gravity Well - MultiVersus
Gravity Well
Effect: Grab
Raven spawns a magical orb above and in front of her, grabbing nearby enemies. Raven can throw any grabbed enemies forwards or backwards. If Lenore is in the arena, the magical orb instead spawns above and in front of Lenore.
This is great for catching enemies that like to jump around or to stop an enemy from moving around.
Down
(Down + Special)
Soul-Self Shield - MultiVersus
Soul-Self Shield
Effect: Projectile Shield
Raven spawns a large projectile shield around herself. Raven can hold the special button to maintain the shield for longer, but she will take damage while she sustains the shield. Allies inside the shield are healed. If Lenore is in the arena, the projectile shield instead spawns around Lenore.
This is mainly used for blocking projectile attacks.

Raven's side attack is great for playing against opponents that like to play close as you can use this to start a combo or simply knock them away. Her side special summons her pet companion Lenore and can knock an opponent either towards or away from you. Her other special moves can interact with Lenore, giving you more pressure against opponents.

Aerial Attacks

Command Move Description How to Use
Neutral
(Neutral + Attack)
Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos! - MultiVersus

Up
(Up + Special)
Gravity Well - MultiVersus
Wings of Shadow
Effect: Knockback

You can use this move to get enemies away from you or to ring them out from the top of the screen.
Down
(Down + Special)
Soul-Self Shield - MultiVersus
Soul-Self Shield
Same as ground. Similar to ground, this lets you block any projectile attacks while also causing Raven to descend slowly.

Raven's neutral attack is perfect for starting air combos however this move will require some practice as the hitbox can be tricky. Her down attack is also a great move as you can use this to spike an opponent or ring them out when fighting outside of the stage.

Passive Abilities

Passive Effect
Magical Countermeasures When Raven and her ally are in a dire situation, Raven's magic begins to consume her, changing her appearance and empowering her. Raven't taken damage, her ally's taken damage, and the current team score can all impact when Raven's passive triggers. While her passive is active, Raven is faster and she deals additional damage and knockback. Raven can dodge upward from the ground.

Raven's passive basically buffs her entire kit, allowing her to move faster and hit harder. This boost increases the overall damage a player can inflict, giving them a chance to ring out an opponent quicker.

Raven Best Perks and Signature Perks

Signature Perks

Perk and Rating Description Explanation
★★★★★
Simmering Temper
Raven's Magical Countermeasures passive requires less damage to trigger. This perk allows you to play more aggressive even when accumulating high damage. Since this is also affected by your ally's damage, this can work well even when Raven hasn't taken much damage.
★★★★☆
Friendly Familiar
Once Raven's bird is placed, it will home in towards the nearest ally. If homing towards Raven, the bird will stop homing a short distance away from Raven. This perk works great in teamplay as you can coordinate with your ally on where to move and place Lenore. This is best used by players that are skilled with Lenore in order to take advantage of the the bird's positioning.

Universal Perks

Team Perk

Perk and Rating Description Explanation
★★★★☆
Snowball Effect
Your team gains a 7% damage boost against the enemy with the highest damage.
If your teammate also selects this perk, the damage boost is doubled.
Since Raven's passive increases her damage and knockback, this perk helps to amplify those effects and can help make ringing out enemies faster.
★★★☆☆
That's Flammable, Doc!
Your team can melee an enemy after hitting them with a projectile to ignite them. If your teammate also selects this perk, ignite damage and duration is increased. This gives your team additional damage over time after hitting an enemy with your projectile attacks.

Strong Perk

Perk and Rating Description Explanation
★★★★★
Collateral Damage
You deal 1 additional damage when you knock back enemies into terrain. Since many of Raven's attacks can knock enemies back, this essentially acts as an overall buff to her kit.
★★★☆☆
Speed Force Assist
You receive 5% increased base movement speed. While Raven can get around the stage at a decent pace, the added movement speed can help in positioning around the stage with Lenore.

Standard Perk

Perk and Rating Description Explanation
★★★★☆
Second Wind Beneath Your Wings
You refresh all air abilities after ringing out an enemy. Given her ringout potential, this perk lets Raven continue dealing damage and supporting her ally immediately after a ringout.

Raven Best Combos and Moves

Spike to Horizontal Ringout

Aerial Side + Attack ► Aerial Down + Attack ► Aerial Up + Attack ► Neutral + Attack

This is a simple and easy combo you can use to build up damage while potentially ringing out enemies to the side of the screen. While the charge on your Neutral + Attack can depend on how much damage you need, Azarath is already suitable for knocking back enemies from the stage.

Aerial Combo to Grab Attack

Aerial Neutral + Attack ► Up + Attack ► Up + Special

This utilizes Raven's knockup moves and ends with her grab attack. This is great for setting up your ally as they can wait for the grab attack for an easy follow up.

How to Play Raven

Coordinate with Ally

MultiVersus - Coordinate with Ally

Raven excels very well in team play due to the many knockbacks and knock up moves she has in her kit. While she has great ringout potential by herself, you can make your fights more efficient by setting up your ally with the many displacement moves she has at her disposal.

Use Lenore to Zone Enemies

MultiVersus - Use Lenore to Zone Enemies

Lenore is Raven's companion pet that also performs her Special attacks. Placing Lenore in key areas can make for unique combos due to the interaction Raven has with her. Just having Lenore out on the stage can already make a difference as your enemy will have to keep an eye on your bird while fighting you.
