Strengths | Weaknesses |

✔︎ Versatile Moveset
✔︎ Can give allies projectile attacks ✔︎ Great with aerial combos |
✖︎ Difficult to master
✖︎ Requires precision when shooting projectiles |
Command | Move | Description | How to Use |
---|---|---|---|
Neutral (Neutral + Attack) |
Shoulder Check | LeBron Charges a shoulder check where he dashes forward, gaining Armor throughout. Without a Basketball, he will call a foul as he Charges an attack that pushes forward. | Can be used as a finisher to knock enemies off the platform. It has a slower charge when LeBron doesn't have a basketball. |
Side (Side (Hold) + Attack) |
Watch Out! |
LeBron runs and swipes forward. | Use this to close the gap between you and your enemies, or use this as a finisher. |
Side (Side + Attack) |
Dime Drop | LeBron does a combo of swipes sending him into the air and ending with a layup. Without a basketball, he will do a forward steal. | A three-hit attack to initiate or extend aerial combos since the layup at the end of attack knocks the enemies upward. |
Up (Up + Attack) |
Take It To The Rim | LeBron spins his basketball on his finger. Without a basketball, he will leap upward and swipe. | A great combo starter for aerial combos and can also be used as a combo extender. |
Down (Down + Attack) |
Work the Floor | LeBron sweeps his basketball around his ankles, hitting multiple times and breaks armor. Without a basketball, he will slam his hands downward. | Can be used as a combo starter that bounces the enemy off the ground on hit, which gives more moves an opportunity as a combo extender. |
Neutral (Neutral + Special) |
Buckets! | LeBron will aim then throw his basketball as a projectile. He can even aim behind himself. Without a basketball, LeBron will summon a new one. Cooldown applies to summoning a basketball. | Always try to shoot LeBron's basketballs whenever possible at close range to hitstun them in multiple successions since you can easily catch the ball at that distance. The ball can be passed backward. |
Side (Side + Special) |
L-Train! | LeBron will launch into the air then dunk his basketball downward, destroying his basketball. Without a basketball, he will shoulder charge forward. If LeBron’s ally has thrown his basketball and it has hit an enemy, LeBron will instead warp to the ball’s location and perform a more powerful dunk, giving LeBron armor and creating a shockwave on the ground that deals Weakened. | Use this as a finisher at the end of combos. |
Up (Up + Special) |
Got Hops | LeBron will shoot his basketball upward as a projectile. He can charge to delay the throw. Without a basketball, he will throw chalk upward, granting nearby allies an extra jump. | The best way to use this is as a combo extender right before an upward finisher since it lets LeBron hover in the air for a moment, enough time for a finisher. |
Down (Down + Special) |
Denied! | LeBron will slam his basketball as a projectile down into the ground, bouncing it into the air. Without a basketball, he will create a fence that blocks incoming projectiles. If a projectile is blocked, LeBron will regain his basketball. | Use to extend combos since it bounces enemies off the ground. |
Command | Move | Description | How to Use |
---|---|---|---|
Neutral (Neutral + Attack) |
Shoulder Check | LeBron sweeps his Basketball around his hips and Breaks Armor. Without a Basketball, he pounds his chest twice and pushes enemies away. | Can be used to reposition enemy in front of LeBron to continue with combos. This move without the basketball can be used to knock enemies back to prevent them from initiating combos. |
Side (Side + Attack) |
Dime Drop | LeBron will pound his basketball. Without a basketball, he will do a forward steal. | This move without a basketball is a great combo starter that transitions into an aerial combo since the move knocks enemies off the ground. |
Up (Up + Attack) |
Take It To The Rim | LeBron will do a layup with his basketball. Without a basketball, he will swipe overhead. | Use this as an aerial combo finisher to knock enemies upward and possibly out of bounds with high percentage. |
Down (Down + Attack) |
Work the Floor | LeBron tosses his basketball through his legs. Without a basketball, he will swipe downward. | Can be used as a combo extender on aerial combos for additional hitstuns and damage. Can also be used as an edge guard to prevent enemies from recovering out of the arena to ensure a K.O. |
Neutral (Neutral + Special) |
Buckets! | Similar to ground. | Similar to ground. |
Side (Side + Special) |
L-Train! | Similar to ground. | Similar to ground. |
Up (Up + Special) |
Got Hops | Similar to ground, but LeBron will jump upward before throwing the basketball. Without a basketball, he will jump upward and swipe. | Similar to ground with an increased jump height. |
Down (Down + Special) |
Denied! |
Similar to ground, but LeBron will slam his basketball through a hoop before shooting it downward. | Similar to ground. |
Passive | Effect |
---|---|
Passive Ability (unnamed) | LeBron will gain a Basketball if he hits an enemy while he doesn't have one. If LeBron hits an ally with his Basketball Projectile, it will attach to them. When LeBron's ally does a directional attack they will shoot the Basketball Projectile in the direction of their attack. If the Basketball hits an enemy it will bounce upwards, giving LeBron an alley-oop dunk. |
Perk and Rating | Description | Explanation |
---|---|---|
★★★★★ Hot Hands |
LeBron’s no-look passes ignite his basketball. If LeBron dunks an ally’s ignited basketball, he ignites all damaged enemies and creates a fir wall on the ground. | LeBron's no-look passes will deal additional damage as DoT and you'll be using the passes during combos quite often, so having that additional damage is great! |
★★★★☆ Keep Possession |
When LeBron or his allies receive a pass, they gain gray health for a few second. | This is a good perk when utilizing passes to a teammate or even in 1v1 situations, as it provides 3% worth of gray health. This is useful in minimizing damage done to you or your teammate after a pass. |
★★★☆☆ For Three! |
LeBron and his allies that hit enemies with a basketball from far away cause the basketball to explode, dealing damage and knockback to all nearby enemies. | This perk is only useful when tossing the basketball from a distance. However, the problem is that the projectile moves slowly, so it may miss its target. |
Perk and Rating | Description | Explanation |
---|---|---|
★★★★★ Press the Advantage |
Your team applies a stack of weakened when knocking back enemies that are above 125 damage. If your teammate also selects this perk, weakaned is applied above 110 damage instead. | Having this perk is great for LeBron to increase knockbacks during finishers and ensure KOs, especially from aerial combos. |
★★★★★ Collateral Damage |
Your team deals 1 additional damage when knocked back enemies collide with a wall or floor. | This provides you additional damages during combos where you trigger ground bounces with your moves. |
★★★★☆ That's Flammable, Doc! |
For 3 seconds after knocking back an enemy with a projectile, your team can melee attack that enemy to ignite them for 2 seconds. | This perk pairs well with LeBron's Hot Hands perk, which extends the DoT after hitting the enemy with a melee attack and increases the enemy's percentage more. |
★★★☆☆ Pugilist |
Your melee attacks deal increased damage. | Having increased melee damage is always good to have, especially since most of LeBron's combos are melee-focused. |
★★★☆☆ Speed Force Assist |
You receive 5% increased base movement speed. | Provides faster movement, useful for catching up to enemies to get basketballs when you don't have one. |
Aerial Down + Attack ► Down + Attack ► Side + Attack x3 |
---|
This combo is a simple but a great starting point for creating additional and more complex combos for LeBron. This combo will at least deal 20 damage against opponents without using any perks. |
Aerial Down + Attack ► Down + Attack ► Side + Attack x3 ► Side + Special |
---|
This is a continuation of the combo above but it includes a Side + Special as a finisher to send opponents with high damage flying to knock them off the map. |
Neutral + Attack ► Neutral + Special ► Side + Attack x3 ► Side + Special |
---|
This combo requires to move forward slightly to connect the Neutral + Special and the three Side + Attacks. Executing this correctly lets you deal at least 31 damage without using any perks. |
Denied! is a defensive move by LeBron that allows him to block projectiles if he isn't holding a ball. It will also let him recover his ball regardless of its cooldown if he got hit while Denied! is active.
L-Train! is a dunk move by LeBron that can deal area damage on the ground. You can also use it as a recovery move on the ledge because of its long-range.
LeBron is a strong bruiser that can deal respectable damage even when opponents are far away using his basketball as his projectile attack.
While equally home on the ground and the air, many of his moves encourage aerial combat. His L-Train Special Move, in particular, is great at launching opponents into the air and can easily set them up for a juggle combo.
LeBron's Neutral and Up Special Attacks are his main projectile moves, but a poorly timed shot will leave LeBron without a basketball. When this happens, he doesn't hit as hard and some moves may even leave him prone.
If LeBron loses his basketball, make sure to get in close and hit an opponent to regain a basketball.
LeBron can pass his basketball to allies, which will stick to them until they make a directional move. This will shoot the basketball as a projectile in the direction of the ally's attack.
This makes LeBron a great choice in team matches, especially when paired with faster characters like Bugs Bunny and Finn. Equipping the Hot Hands Perk further boosts the projectile when LeBron sucessfully completes a no-look pass.
