There are four unique character classes in MultiVersus. Each character's class is descriptive of the character's specialty.
Tanks are characters that can deal damage as well as take damage. They contribute to a team's overall defense, being difficult to knock out themselves.

Steven Universe is classified by the game as both a Mage and a Tank.
This archetype is straightforward in their gameplay and their game plans. Bruisers are characters that prefer to be on the front lines of a battle, often being a primary source of offense.

Focusing on movement, speed and agility, Assassins want to get close to their opponents and deal damage while effectively avoiding direct damage.
Assassin Characters |

Mages specialize in ranged attacks, preferring to play keepaway. These characters specialize in using projectiles, and would often prefer to do battle from a safe distance.
Additionally, these characters also work well in team battles as they can assist teammates with buffs while giving opponents debuffs.

Steven Universe is classified by the game as both a Mage and a Tank.
Each character has a designated Fighting Style which tells us which direction a character's moveset will best cover. A character's Fighting Style can give us an idea of how a character would play.
These characters are suited to covering horizontal space. Their movement options and moves are most effective horizontally.
