MultiVersus Characters by Class

There are five unique character classes in MultiVersus. Each character's class is descriptive of the character's specialty.

Tank

Tanks are characters that can deal damage as well as take damage. They contribute to a team's overall defense, being difficult to knock out themselves.

Iron Giant

Bruiser

This archetype is straightforward in their gameplay and their game plans. Bruisers are characters that prefer to be on the front lines of a battle, often being a primary source of offense.

Support

These characters focus less on actual fighting, specializing in assisting teammates with buffs and giving opponents debuffs. Support characters shine in team battles, where they have a teammate to complement.

Assassin

Focusing on movement, speed and agility, Assassins want to get close to their opponents and deal damage while effectively avoiding direct damage.

Mage/Ranged

Mages specialize in ranged attacks, preferring to play keepaway. These characters specialize in using projectiles, and would often prefer to do battle from a safe distance.

MultiVersus Characters by Fighting Style

Each character has a designated Fighting Style which tells us which direction a character's moveset will best cover. A character's Fighting Style can give us an idea of how a character would play.

Horizontal

These characters are suited to covering horizontal space. Their movement options and moves are most effective horizontally.

Horizontal Fighting Style

Vertical

Characters with this Fighting Style are effective at covering space above and below them. Their movement options and moves are most effective vertically.

Vertical Fighting Style

Hybrid

Hybrid characters have moves that are useful both vertically and horizontally. Their movement options and moves are effective in either direction.
