List of Contents
Voice Actor | Jim Cummings |

Type | Bruiser |
Fighting Style | Horizontal |
Taz has the ability to deal a lot of damage while back and forth across the arena very quickly. The Tasty Buff that many of his moves inflict not only allows Taz to inflict more damage, but also heal his allies.
Tier |
Aerial Down + Attack ► Down + Attack ► Side + Attack ► Neutral + Attack |
---|
This is a basic horizontal combo that uses Taz's normal attacks to build up damage over time. You can also use this combo as a starting point to build up more complex combos. The combo deals 25-27 damage against opponents without using any perks. |
Aerial Down + Attack ► Up + Attack ► Up + Special |
---|
A vertical combo that uses Taz's normal and special attacks to knock opponents up in the air. If the opponent has 100 damage and above, you can finish Aerial Down + Attack ► Up + Special (fully charged) to knock them out of the map. The combo deals 26 damage against opponents without using any perks. |
Aerial Down + Attack ► Netural + Special ► Neutral + Attack |
---|
This combo uses Taz's Chew It Yourself attack to inflict stun on opponents and destroy incoming projectiles. The combo deals 21-23 damage against opponents without using any perks. |
A multi-hit attack that is reliable for ringing out opponents. Particularly useful in Co-op battles, where its duration is extended when you pass an ally.
Taz's Tornado side special has been nerfed in version 0.1 of the open beta. This makes the move no longer viable to use as a finisher as its knockback from the final hit was reduced from 1375 to 1275.
It is recommended to use this move to chain combos and use the Up + Attack to knock back opponents instead.
Open Beta Patch Notes - Update V0.1
An attack that inflicts the Tasty effect and deals damage. The tornado spin is also a reliable finisher.
Perk | Explanation |
---|---|
Iron Stomach | Equipping this signature perk allows you to counterattack against characters that use projectile based attacks by burping an anvil against them. If you are playing a 2 vs 2 match, you can swap this with the I Gotta Get In There! to add buffs to Taz's Up + Special move when allies jump into his dogpile projectile. |
School Me Once | This perk lets you receive a projectile block buff for 2 seconds if you get knocked back by an projectile, making it easy to "punish" opponents when they use projectile attacks. |
Percussive Punch Power | Taz has a horizontal fighting style so adding this perk increases his damage output by 5%. |
Absorb 'n' Go | This perk allows Taz and his allies to receive a 7% ability cooldown refund if one of them gets knocked back by a projectile. Equipping this perk alongside School Me Once allows Taz to become an anti-projectile character. |
Taz's Horizontal Fighting Style and moves are best put to use by staying close to enemies, allowing you to apply the Tasty effect and deal damage as you please.
While Taz is exceptional on the ground, his options become fairly limited in the air. Try to keep your opponent grounded to take advantage of Taz's moveset.
Move | Ground | Air |
---|---|---|
Neutral (Neutral + Attack) |
Soup's On! Taz guzzles a pot of soup, Charging a spit Projectile. The spit can be aimed up and down and deals Tasty. |
Soup-er Spinner Similar to Soup's On!, but Taz spins as he spews, hitting enemies backward. |
Side (Side + Attack) |
Well-Seasoned A combo of salt and pepper seasoning that deals Tasty before transitioning into a tornado spin. |
Feed The Beast Taz Charges a forward bite. |
Up (Up + Attack) |
Slam-Wich Taz Charges then slams together a sandwich overhead, dealing Tasty. Taz can move while Charging. |
Flying Slam-Wich Similar to Slam-Wich without Charge. |
Down (Down + Attack) |
Stomp Stomp Stomp! Taz Charges a stomp that Breaks Armor. The stomp hits further with a longer Charge. |
Super Down Under Taz spins his legs into a tornado and drills downward, Breaking Armor. |
Move | Ground | Air |
---|---|---|
Neutral (Neutral + Special) |
Chew it Yourself Taz gulps on enemies, Stunning them. He can also eat Projectiles, destroying them, and powering up his Down-Special. Repeatedly press down or neutral input to chew enemies, dealing damage. Press up, forward, or back to spit out enemies. Enemies can Struggle. |
Same as ground. |
Side (Side + Special) |
Taz-Nado Taz spins forward in a tornado, hittting enemies multiple times. If Taz passes an ally, his tornado's duration is increased, Passing an ally gives them a brief Fast Movement Buff. |
Same as ground. |
Up (Up + Special) |
Dogpile! Dogpile! Taz starts a dogpile projectile that gradually grows in size. The dogpile hits multiple times after an enemy enters, ending with a powerful finish. On Cooldown, Taz will instead jump up and swipe twice. |
Same as ground. |
Down (Down + Special) |
You Spit What You Eat Taz burps a chewed apple Projectile that deals a small amount of Tasty. If Taz has eaten a Projectile with his Neutral-Special, he will instead burp out that Projectile, dealing a large amount of Tasty. |
Eating On The Fly Similar to You Spit What You Eat, though Taz can spit enemies down but can't chew on them. |
Passive | Effect |
---|---|
Bottomless Pit | Some of Taz's attacks deal a stacking Tasty Debuff. Tasty enemies receive stacks of Tasty whenever they are knocked back. When Tasty reaches max stacks, the enemy is given a Cooked Chicken Debuff and can't attack. When a Cooked enemy takes damage, bits of chicken break that will heal Taz or his allies if picked up. Taz will also lick allies he passes and heal them slightly. Licking an ally has a Cooldown. |
Perk (Unlock Lv.) |
Effect |
---|---|
Iron Stomach (Lv.8) |
After Taz eats a projectile, he will burp an anvil instead of the projectile he ate. |
I Gotta Get In There! (Lv.10) |
Taz's allies can jump into his dogpile, giving it more damage, more knockback, longer duration, and armor. |
The above information refers to Taz's Signature Perks. All other Perks which have been unlocked via any character's level up tree can be used on Taz as well.
Beachcomber Taz
(Uncommon) 500 Gleamium |
Full Name | The Tasmanian Devil |
---|---|
First Appearance | “Devil May Hare” (June 1954) |
Like the offspring of a tornado and a particularly angry electric razor, the Tasmanian Devil is a spitting, surly ball of manic energy. If you can get him to calm down, they say he’s as sweet and gentle as a kitten, but that’s a pretty big “if.” Taz has a temper that’s outmatched only by his appetite and, trust us, you don’t want to see this Devil when he’s hungry.
