Type: Assassin Fighting Style: Horizontal Difficulty: Hard Cost: To be updated Default Tags: Heroic |
Strengths | Weaknesses |
---|---|
✔︎ Passive allows you to play the girls in different playstyles
✔︎ Lots of knock back attacks ✔︎ Melee attacks have good reach |
✖︎ Switching leaders requires getting used to
✖︎ Moves slow around battlefield |
The Powerpuff Girls features all 3 iconic characters in a team setup fighting as one unit. Since players have the ability to switch up playstyles by changing the leader of the girls at any given time, there is a certain flexibility on how to approach fights.
Command | Move | Description | How to Use |
---|---|---|---|
Neutral (Neutral + Attack) |
Powerpuff Kick! |
Effect: Charge A charged slide kick that travels forward. |
You can use this move defensively to dodge attacks or projectiles headed towards you. You can also use this to knock opponents back. |
Side (Side (Hold) + Attack) |
Somer-Assault! |
The girls line up and roll forward, knocking enemies upward. | This is best used when attacking opponents with high damage as this can ring out enemies vertically or as an air combo starter as this can launch enemies high up. |
Side (Side + Attack) |
Sister Combo! |
A 3-hit combo where each girl throws a punch. | Despite being a melee attack, you can use this move to reach opponents at a distance as the second and third part of the attack lets the girls reach forward. |
Up (Up + Attack) |
Powerpuff Uppercut! |
Effect: Charge, Knockback A charged upward punch, followed by the backup girls flying up with an additional hit that deals knockback. |
Can be used to disrupt enemy combos as you can send enemies to the top of the screen. |
Down (Down + Attack) |
Hotline Pincer! |
Effect: Charge The Powerpuff Girls charge an attack as the leader hangs up the hotline. One backup girl will fly left as the other flies right, then they will both fly back in. |
While this is great for edgeguarding, you can also use this to start combos as this launches enemies in the air allowing for a quick follow up. |
Neutral (Neutral + Special) |
...And Everything Nice! |
Effect: Stun, Breaks Armor Each Powerpuff Girl has a unique attack, depending on the leader. Blossom will emit icey breath that applies ice stacks, Bubbles will shout to stun enemies, and Buttercup will fire a laser that breaks armor. |
You can use this move to utilize each of the girls' special attribute, either applying Ice stacks, a stun, or even breaking their armor. |
Side (Side + Special) |
Tackle Time! |
Effect: Grab The topmost girl will fly forward, grabbing an enemy. Each girl has a unique throw. Blossom will throw the target towards the leader, Bubbles will throw the target upward, and Buttercup will throw the target downward. |
Throw an enemy in a specific way depending on the leader. Blossom leading will throw the enemy downward and cause them to bounce, allowing for an air combo follow up. Bubbles leading will throw an opponent to the girls, which is a good ground combo starter. Buttercup leading will launch an opponent upwards, potentially ringing them out vertically. |
Up (Up + Special) |
Up We Go! |
Effect: Knockback An upward flight with unique effects depending on who the leading girl is. Bubbles will fly higher but deal less knockback, Buttercup will fly less high but deal more knockback, and Blossom is balanced between the two of them. |
This is good for continuing an air combo as you can launch enemies high up in the air. |
Down (Down + Special) |
Tag, You're It! |
The Powerpuff Girls will rotate counter-clockwise, changing their leader. | Mainly used to switch the leader of the girls. This has a small knock up but it requires you to be very close to the opponent. |
Many of the girls' ground moves allow for knockbacks and work towards getting enemies off the stage. Moves such as Somer-Assault! and Up We Go! are great for setting up plays while Powerpuff Uppercut! is suitable for a vertical ringout.
Command | Move | Description | How to Use |
---|---|---|---|
Neutral (Neutral + Attack) |
Ring-Around-The-Rosie! |
After joining hands, the girls attack as they spin in a circle. | You can use this to start or continue combos as the range lets you attack opponents from any direction. |
Side (Side + Attack) |
Powerpuff Slingshot! |
Grabbing hold of each other in a chain, the girls fling themselves forward. | Use this to hit enemies from a distance or prevent them from recovering to the platform. |
Up (Up + Attack) |
Flying Uppercut! |
An upward punch. | You can use this during air combos to potentially ring out enemies through the top of the screen. |
Down (Down + Attack) |
Powerpuff Stomp! |
A stomp that hits downward. | This is great for edgeguarding and starting combos as you can make an opponent bounce up from the ground. |
Neutral (Neutral + Special) |
...And Everything Nice! |
Same as ground. | Similar to its ground version, you can use this to utilize the girls' special attributes in air combat. |
Side (Side + Special) |
Tackle Time! |
Effect: Grab The topmost girl will fly forward, grabbing an enemy. The other two girls will then dash to the topmost girl and hit enemies away. |
Use this to close the distance while also delivering an attack that knocks opponents back. |
Up (Up + Special) |
Up We Go! |
Effect: Knockback Same as ground. |
Similar to the ground version, you can use this to continue an air combo. |
Down (Down + Special) |
Swapsies! |
The backmost girl will quickly swoop into the leader position, hitting enemies upward. | Similar to the ground version, this lets you swap out the leader while knocking enemies in the air. |
Since most of the aerial moves are similar to their ground variations, players can take moves and combo they've already learned and tweak them for air combos. For ringing out enemies on the side of the stage, you can use Powerpuff Stomp! or Ring-Around-The-Rosie!, both good moves to prevent enemies from recovering to the fight.
Passive | Effect |
---|---|
Sister Act | The Powerpuff Girls can swap their leader using down special. Different leaders apply unique attributes to the trio. Bubbles is fast, but her hits have less knockback, Buttercup is slower, but her hits have more knockback, and Blossom is balanced between the two of them. Different leaders also change the properties of the girls' special moves. |
Their passive lets the girls switch between who the leader is at any given time. Having Bubbles as the leader lets you move around faster while Buttercup leading deals more knockback. Blossom, the leader by default, is a balanced between these two.
Perk and Rating | Description | Explanation |
---|---|---|

★★★★☆ Acrobatattack |
Dash attack can be used once while in the air. | This lets the girls close the distance between an opponent while in the air while also allowing them to deal damage. |
Perk and Rating | Description | Explanation |

---|---|---|
★★★☆☆ Collateral Damage |

★★★☆☆ Strong Perk |

Side + Attack ► Down + Special ► Aerial Neutral |
---|
This is a basic combo that uses Ring-Around-The-Rosie to knock an enemy back. This also switches the leader, allowing you to chain more complex combos.
Side + Attack ► Down + Attack ► Up + Attack |
---|
This combo lets you start aerial combos as you can launch enemies up with Flying Uppercut. This can also ring out enemies vertically at higher damages.
Sister Act allows you to switch who the leader of the girls will be by pressing Down + Special, giving the girls a special attribute depending on the leader. Assigning Bubbles to be the leader lets you move around quicker while Buttercup leading increases the knockback of their hits.
Blossom is the default leader of the group and is a balance between Bubbles and Buttercup. This is crucial to master in order to get the most out of the girls' kit.
The girls' Neutral Special gives different effects depending on who is the leader. Keep in mind who is always leading in order to utilize their unique attack.
The perk An Extra Ingredient is a great perk to consider purchasing as this increases the effect of the move, giving you more utility but also an additional ring out opportunity when using this with Blossom as the leader.
