How to Fight The Beast of Beauclair

How to Fight

You will encounter this fight during the Main Quest: Blood Run. You will fight against Dettlaff in his humanoid vampire form. The best way to deal with him is to counter his attacks. All of his light attacks can be countered leaving him vulnerable for multiple strikes from you.

What Preparations to Make?

You should use your Silver Sword and coat it with Vampire oil to deal bonus damage to him. Cast the Quen Sign to protect yourself from his attacks while attempting to counter him. Drink a Black Blood Potion to reflect some damage back to him whenever he is able to attack you.
