Five new main characters make their debut in Visions of Mana. Get to know the playable characters Val, Careena, Morley, Palamena, and Julei, and their roles in Visions of Mana, as well as the supporting cast that appears in the game.

In Visions of Mana, players will be able to build their own three-person party while in battle. Players may switch between the five playable characters:

Val is a soul guard hailing from the Fire Village of Tianeea. He travels with Hinna, his childhood friend and chosen alm, to travel to the Tree of Mana.

In combat, Val is suited for rushing to the front lines and as the party's shield due to his naturally high HP.

Careena is a half-human and half-dragon oracle hailing from Longren, the Vale of Wind. Accompanying her is Ramcoh, a sacred beast cub and her trusted companion.

Careena uses area-of-effect attacks and supports her allies with buffs. Whenever she attacks an enemy, Ramcoh will deal follow-up damage.

Morley comes from Etaern, the Moonlit Parish, and uses lightning-fast attacks with his katana. He can also counter enemy attacks with perfectly timed katana swings.

Palamena is the Queen of Illystana, Capital of the Deep. She succeeded the throne after her father's death and has been navigating Illystana's societal expectations and turbulent politics.

Julei is a sproutling from Verdeus Borough. He is the current custodian and is in charge of watering his sleeping companions.

Goddess	First Appearance: Unknown The Mana Goddess is the creator of the world and is one with the Tree of Mana. Before her slumber, she sent Faerie to lend the Mana Sword to Daelophos and was ultimately betrayed.
Lyza	First Appearance: Prologue Voice Actor (EN): Jessica Osborne Lyza was a soul guard 8 years ago from Tianeea. Val and Hinna have looked up to her as a big sister ever since they were children and have not heard from her in a long time.
Eoren	First Appearance: Prologue Voice Actor (EN): Paul Castro Jr. Eoren is a traveler researching different types of earth and was a member of the Gaian tribe. He eventually meets Val and Hinna when they just started their pilgrimage to the Mana Tree.
Hinna	First Appearance: Chapter 1 Voice Actor (EN): Anairis Quinones Hinna is Val's childhood friend and is from Tianeea, the Fire Village. She was chosen as the Alm of Fire for this year's pilgrimage and travels with Val to the Tree of Mana.
Ramcoh	First Appearance: Chapter 1 Ramcoh is a sacred beast cub and Careena's most trusted companion. As a child of the Sacred Beast Flammie, she is capable of flying great heights. Every time Careena attacks, Ramcoh follows up to deal damage as well.
Ex-Soul Guard Fiugo	First Appearance: Chapter 1 Fiugo was Val and Lyza's mentor and patrols around the village to ensure that monsters don't wander into town. He intended to retire after Lyza took up the soul guard mantle, but was reinstated after she moved to Gudju.
Passar	First Appearance: Chapter 1 and 2 Passar is a magistrate who has an eye for the throne of Illystana. Careena gets into trouble with him at Rhata Harbor while Val steps in to help her out.
Faerie	First Appearance: Chapter 1 A small, but wise emissary of the Goddess of Mana. Faerie descends once every four years to name the alm of each elemental, starting them on their pilgrimage to the Mana Tree.
Dudbears	First Appearance: Chapter 1 These creatures used to live deep in earthen caves, but their thirst for Grizzly Syrup brought them to the surface. They developed their own language in order to effectively communicate with their far-flung brethren.
Li'l Cactus	First Appearance: Chapter 1 A humble little cactus making his way across the lands, jotting down his thoughts. He makes sure to keep a detailed journal of his journey for anyone who cares to read it.
The Merchant Sisters	First Appearance: Chapter 1 The Merchant Sisters consists of Madeline, Francine, and Christine as they travel the world in search of wares and new markets. Each of them sells weapons, gear, and items to their customers.
Shiriu	First Appearance: Chapter 1 Shiriu is a young member of the dragonfolk tribe and a resident of Longren. He is Careena's most trusted friend and comes from a long line of historians who keep track of traditional legends.
Mariyah	First Appearance: Chapter 1 Mariyah is Morley's mother and widow of a blade for hire. She sacrificed herself to protect Morley from the grains of sand from the Lunar Sandglass when it was destroyed sixteen years ago.
Meelpa	First Appearance: Chapter 1 Meelpa was Morley's teacher and was a former master swordsman. He lives a quiet life tending to his ranch and makes a living selling the hay from his fields.
Iain	First Appearance: Chapter 2 Iain is Palamena's younger brother and next in line for the throne of Illystana. Their mother died in childbirth and their father soon after that, leaving Palamena to take care of her brother alone.
Niccolo	First Appearance: Chapter 2 Voice Actor (EN): Mark Jacobson Niccolo is a traveling merchant and also the father figure of Morley. He travels around the world bringing happiness to his customers but is a greedy trickster.
Watts	First Appearance: Chapter 4 Watts is the last remaining Gaian who still lives in Gudju. When the village was turned into golems, he was in Gamurda Mines outside of town.
Vuscav	First Appearance: Chapter 4 Vuscav is a giant turtle creature and is known as the Sacred Beast of the Sea. He turned to stone from sorrow after he was separated from his lady love and has been stuck in Tatoh Temple ever since.
Trent	First Appearance: Chapter 4 Trent is the wisest of the ancient trees and guards the entrance to the sanctuary from any interlopers who stray too close. He once lived in the Spirit Realm with the elementals, bearing both fruit and advice in abundance.
Daelophos	First Appearance: Chapter 5 Daelophos was known far and wide for his military prowess and victory in Ahrvet's War. It was all he had ever known until that fateful day he saved Cerulia and lost the use of his arm.
Aesh	First Appearance: Chapter 5 Voice Actor (EN): Y. Chang Aesh is a scholar and a dark archives curator from the Log’grattzo Dark Archives. His interests are vast and varied earning him the title of head curator and the respect of his peers despite his young age.
Von Boyage	First Appearance: Chapter 5 A self-proclaimed genius inventor who spends his time in the Log'grattzo Dark Archives. Von Boyage believes that if you can think it, you can do it.
Vadise	First Appearance: Chapter 6 Vadise is the legendary White Dragon Princess, the Keeper of the Future, and one of the Dragons of Knowledge. She resides within the sanctuary, keeping an eye on all who journey to the Mana Tree.
Khoda	First Appearance: Chapter 6 Khoda is the Guardian of the Sanctuary and supplies the sleeping Goddess with corestone offerings from the alms. He lost his life stopping Daelophos from enacting his revenge against the Goddess.
Cerulia	First Appearance: Chapter 9 Cerulia was Daelophos's one true love and were extremely devoted to each other. After the war, they lived together in peace until Daelophos was called upon by the Goddess.

Sylphid	First Appearance: Chapter 1 Sylphid, the Elemental of Wind, lives high atop Mt. Gala, and every four years, he confers with Faerie on the alm appointment after the ceremonial wind dyeing. He likes to take it easy and spends most of his time watching the festivities.
Luna	First Appearance: Chapter 1 Luna, the Elemental of Moon, has been missing from Etaern since the fall of the parish sixteen years ago, but thanks to Morley, she regained enough strength to reappear. She prides herself on being a good listener and would often be found giving advice.
Undine	First Appearance: Chapter 2 Undine, the Elemental of Water, lives in the Luke Ruins and is well-liked within Illystana. She looks like a mermaid but complains like a sailor.
Salamando	First Appearance: Chapter 4 Salamando, the Elemental of Fire, makes his home in Dorpher Volcano and once every four years, he covertly visits Tianeea to decide on which passionate village would make the best alm. He never backs down from a fight, especially against Undine.
Gnome	First Appearance: Chapter 4 Gnome, the Elemental of Earth, resides in the Jutu'ona Continent and is the most humanoid of the elemental spirits. With his mana depleted, he was stuck inside the Jewel Eater until the Alms rescued him from his predicament.
Dryad	First Appearance: Chapter 4 Dryad, the Elemental of Wood, lives near the Mana Sanctuary and feels protective over it. She sometimes second-guesses her decisions but is very determined and caring.
Lumina	First Appearance: Chapter 5 Lumina, the Elemental of Light, resides in the Holy City of Wendel and watches over the people. He is an upbeat spirit who loves to be the life of the party and teases Shade a lot but still manages to help him out.
Shade	First Appearance: Chapter 5 Shade, the Elemental of Darkness, lives in the Log'grattzo Dark Archives and spends a lot of time pondering the ins and outs of life. Although he is no stranger to the people, he often goes unnoticed due to the scholars being too wrapped up in their research.
