Party Members and Classes | ||
---|---|---|
Val Rune Knight (Wind) |
Careena None |
Morley Nightblade (Moon) |
The best party in the early stages of the game includes Rune Knight Val, Careena, and Nightblade Morley.
Equip Morley with the Wind Elemental Vessel so you can unlock the Jump Spinning Slash skill.
Make sure to complete the side quest, Find and Replace, to obtain the Healing Light ability seed.

---|---|---|
Val Rune Knight (Wind) |
Palamena Grand Diviner (Water) |
Morley Nightblade (Moon) |
The best party to use in Chapter 2 includes Rune Knight Val, Grand Diviner Palamena, and Nightblade Morley. Palamena works well even when using her starting class but it is recommended to take advantage of the Elemental Vessels and equip her with the Water Elemental Vessel.
Once you have obtained the Water Elemental Vessel, you can change Val's class to Duelist. This is a class that increases strength considerably and is recommended if you use Val as your main character.
The R2 effect of the Undine Bottle is very strong, so make sure to use it as much as you can. It can deal high damage and stagger the enemies at the same time, making it a powerful tool against small enemies!
Party Members and Classes | ||
---|---|---|
Val Rune Knight (Wind) |
Palamena Magus (Earth) |
Morley Nightblade (Moon) |
The best party to use for Chapter 4 consists of Rune Knight Val, Magus Palamena, and Nightblade Morley. Once you obtain the Earth Elemental Vessel, change Palamena's class to Magus to increase her magic attack power.
Party Members and Classes | ||
---|---|---|
Val Rune Knight (Wind) |
Julei High Cleric (Light) |
Morley Nightblade (Moon) |
After Julei joins the party, make sure to include him in the party setup. Julei is effective when it comes to using recovery and resurrection skills. Once you obtain the Light Elemental Vessel, change his class to High Cleric to use him as a pure healer.
If you are at a point in the game where Julei joins the party and have the Earth Elemental Vessel, change his class to Sage. This allows you to use him as an active healer while you do not have the Light Elemental Vessel yet.
Morley's Samurai class has a unique skill called Untouchable which allows him to become invincible when attacking. Make sure to unlock this skill as it is useful for boss battle and tough fights.

This specialized party setup is not useful against bosses and named monsters but it can spread status ailments on small groups of enemies and kills them regardless of their defense stats using Morley and Palamena's petrification and instant death attacks.
By upgrading the Elemental Plots of each character to their limit, you will be able to freely combine weapon types, Elemental Vessels, special moves, and class abilities when using the character's starting class.

▶ How Long to Beat Visions of Mana |
To create the best party formation, choose a class that utilizes the character's movements well. If you want to use Val as your frontline attacker, choose a class that prioritizes strength, HP, and defense over intelligence and spirit.
Make sure to choose abilities that best suit the characters and their classes. To make the most of Morley's Nightblade class, choose abilities that increase the critical rate. For Val, choose abilities that increase strength and HP.
Be sure to set a strategy that suits your party. Careena and Palamena can use powerful magic, so conserving MP too much will not allow them to make the most of their abilities.
You can also choose whether or not to use consumable items depending on the situation, so it's better to use them as much as you can.
The best party and team composition uses characters that are strong on their own, such as Nightblade Morley and Magus Palamena. These also include characters with clear roles such as High Cleric Light, who increases the stability of the party as a pure healer.
The best party emphasizes high overall attack power and versatility. We avoid party formations that with niches as they are only usable for specific situations.
The best party uses characters that make it easier defeat flying enemies and small group of enemies as you progress through the story. Characters and classes with low Elemental Point requirement are also taken into account in the criteria.
