Use Slash Weapons and Fire-Based Abilities

Trent is weak to slash and fire, hence, it is recommended to use slash weapons and fire abilities against it. Use abilities such as Fireball and Explode and the fire elemental vessel Salamando Candle and its Fire Elemental Break to defeat the Trent with ease.

Target the Tentacles and Avoid the Poison Gas

Steer clear from the main body and focus on attacking its tentacles. Trent will often release a green gas, creating a field of poison around its main body. The poison gas will last for a while, hence, it is recommended to attack the tentacles first to deal damage at a safer position.

Watch Out For Its Tentacle Attack

Stay away from the target markers that appear on the ground. These will always track the active character, and will spawn a tentacle that will knockup and interrupt any action.

Stay Away From Its Seed Bombs

The Trent will spit seed bombs that land on the ground and explode after a short delay. Steer clear of the seeds as it has no target marker for its explosion radius.

Use Luna Globe to Slow the Trent

The Trent has a main body and its left and right tentacles, and using the Luna Globe vessel on any of its parts affects the rest. Take advantage of this to create a window of opportunity to deal as much damage as possible.
