Target Eyes to Exploit Weak Spot

Fullmetal Hugger's weak spot is its eyes, so make sure to lock on to them when attacking to maximize damage output. If you've attacked them relentlessly, the eyes will begin to fracture which will cause them to pop out.

Fullmetal Hugger will mostly have frontal attacks, so dealing damage to its eyes in close range will prove difficult to pull off.

Use Long-Range Attacks When Boss is Hanging on the Wall

Fullmetal Hugger will sometimes climb on walls and unleash bubble attacks that explode when it comes into contact. It is recommended to use long-range attacks so you can inflict damage while not being idle on the battlefield.

Avoid Shockwave Drop From Above

Fullmetal Hugger will often climb on top of the ceiling, then drop down on the battlefield and emit a shockwave that deals damage to your party.

When you no longer see Fullmetal Hugger on the ground or the walls, move away from the red target marker that appears on the battlefield to avoid the incoming damage from the boss' drop.

Avoid Laser Beam Attack

Fullmetal Hugger sometimes unleashes beam attacks from its eyes, which can usually be indicated beforehand when it amasses energy in front of its face.

Once you see the boss storing up energy, move away from its line of sight to avoid being targeted.

Run Under the Boss to Avoid the Rotating Beam Attack

Fullmetal Hugger will also perform its beam attacks by spinning around, causing the laser beams to rotate around the battlefield.

Avoid the rotating laser beams by jumping when their proximity reaches you or dashing under the boss to avoid them.

Use Luna Globe to Slow Down Boss

You can also use Luna Globe against Fullmetal Hugger to slow his movements down and attacks. Once the boss struggles to move, you can use the opportunity to land some attacks and aim for its eyes.
