I Know Why Bubbles Float Quest Location
Go to Serenity Island
I Know Why Bubbles Float is located at Serenity Island, in the region of Heartcraft Kingdom. Teleport to the Brewing Workshop Warp Spire and head west, past the barrel-shaped shed. You should spot Shadow on the lower cliff. Speak with her to start the quest.

I Know Why Bubbles Float is unlocked once you've finished We Have Not Forgotten, which is the last quest in Chapter 3: Only the Spring Knows of the Somewhere Beyond the Rainbow Waters quest series in Serenity Island!
I Know Why Bubbles Float Walkthrough
Meet Shadow at the Abandoned District
You'll start off the quest by offering to accompany Shadow in reuniting with her friend at the Abandoned District. Meet up with her by teleporting to the Beside the Golden Fields Warp Spire back in Wishfield.
Search for Shadow's Home
With the Abandoned District being much different from what Shadow remembers, you'll need to help Shadow look for clues in the Golden Fields to find her old home.
Follow the path leading west from the Beside the Golden Fields Warp Spire and speak with Shadow as she inspects the wheat field by a large haystack.
Ask Kaleb Nearby for Information
Shadow remembers her home had tall haystacks with flowers blooming beside them. Another Piecey, Kaleb, will be tending the field nearby. Head over to him to ask if he knows anything.
Go to the Market of Mirth
Kaleb will tell you that tall haystacks and flowers can be found at the Market of Mirth. Teleport to the Handsome Lads Circus Warp Spire and float down to the bottom area northeast of it. You should find Shadow along the path.
Ask Granny Oversleeves for Info
Shadow will spot Granny Oversleeves nearby. Go southeast to find Granny Oversleeves on her usual bench. After she recounts the past, she'll reveal the location of the haystack that you're looking for!
Return to Shadow's Home
From Granny Oversleeves' location, just follow the quest marker and head northwest. You should find a pile of large haystacks and a tree standee in the area northwest of the Market of Mirth Cavern.
Search for Traces Left by Shadow's Friend
Shadow's friend is still nowhere to be seen upon arriving at their old home. Investigate the spot behind the haystacks to find a Tattered Bowknot that was left behind by Shadow's friend.
Return and Report to Shadow
Head back to Shadow to give the Tattered Bowknot to her. With the situation looking hopeless, another Piecey arrives, who turns out to be the friend Shadow was looking for. After Shadow and Twinkle celebrate their reunion, the quest is wrapped up!
