The Cluckatrice uses normal attacks mostly, but it is also fond of using Mucus, which will inflict Slow on the party. There is also Stone Gaze, which can inflict Petrify on your party. It is also accompanied by its chicks--Chickatrices--which usenormal attacks. This battle is uninspiring for the most part, with this enemy party only fond of using physical attacks.

If you already have Protect, use it on your party. Otherwise, this battle is purely basic. Aside from using Mucus, the Cluckatrice only every charges at the player's party using Physical attacks. Its chicks are a nuisance, but none are too tough to handle. Keep hacking away at the Cluckatrice and you'll be back in front of Montblanc, turning in your report on the quest before you know it.
