Hunt Objectives

No. Objective
1 The second hunt on the notice board will point you to the Westersand. Talk to the petitioner in The Sandsea.
2 Find the mark hanging around with its pack in the Westersand dunes, in the Galtea Downs area.
3 After finishing off the Thextera, return to the petitioner for your reward and to complete the quest.

Gatsly the Merchant

Gatsly will be found hanging out in the Sandsea. He is drinking away his troubles because the Thextera is terrorizing his caravan, making him unable to sell his wares. He comes to the notice board--and you--to get rid of the dire wolf.

Thextera, Leader of the Pack

The Thextera is a very crafty creature who will be leading a pack in the desert. He will be accompanied by a regular wolf, as well as an Alpha, when he faces your party.

Essential Rewards

When you defeat the Thextera, return to the petitioner, Gatsly. He'll have some rewards ready for you as well as a teleport stone, your very first in the game. This is an essential reward in that it opens up the teleportation stones for use.
