How to beat Ixion

Details

Ixion casts Sleepga FF12 Elite Marks
The Ixion is an Elite mark that prowls the Subterra of the Pharos. It is conditional in that the player could potentially encounter it in either the Penumbra, Umbra, or the Abyssal area of the Pharos. The condition to make it appear is that the player should clear enemies on any of these floors.

Moveset

Ixion casts Silencega FF12 Elite Marks
The Ixion is a fairly easy-to-deal with enemy since its attacks do not cause any devastating damage. However, it can chain these attcks pretty fast. Spellcasters should erect palings to deal with its Fearga attack.

Ixion also inflicts negative status conditions. If the party manages to put up a negative status condition on it, it will cast Purify. Its signature attack is Thundaga, which can damage the whole party with heavy Lightning-element attack.

Gambit

White / Green Mage
Ally: any Shell
Foe: any Silence
Ally: Tank / Damage dealer Decoy
Ally: HP<80% Cura
Tank / Damage Dealer/s
Foe: nearest visible Attack

Strategy

Ixion casts Silence FF12 Elite Marks
Have your spellcaster set a gambit on casting buffs; the enemy is fond of using Dispelga and quite often as well. If the party is at a high enough level, cast Berserk on the Ixion to stop it from casting Purify to clear its status conditions.

Damage dealers should equip items that deal with the damage of Thundaga, such as Rubber Suits or Diamond Armlets. When Ixion is Berserked, it will continue attacking, so switch to a physical tactic when dealing with it.

If the player has a Zodiac Escutcheon, they should equip it on the Decoyed character to easily deal with the enemy.
