Pteryx Boss Battle Guide

Preparation

FFX Pteryx

Armor Break Overdrive Rikku's Frag Grenade or Auron's Banishing Blade.
Multi-Hit Overdrives Tidus' Slice & Dice, Wakka's Attack Reels, or Yuna's Anima.

It is also better to have everyone's overdrive gauge full at the start of the fight as Pteryx can inflict curse on your party members.

Moveset

Beak Deals damage to a single targe
Beak of Woe Deals damage to the whole party and inflicts curse

Strategy

At the start of the battle, immediately use Rikku's Frag Grenade or Auron's Banishing Blade (to remove Pteyrx's high defense stat). Follow it up with other offensive Overdrives to finish the fight easily.

At the later stages of the game (max stats), removing Pteryx's armor becomes unnecessary as your damage can be enough to kill Pteryx in a few number of hits (Pteyrx's HP is only 100,000).
