Strategy

Kottos is a great source of Healing Springs so gaining a way to defeat it quickly is highly recommended. To quickly defeat Kottos, multi-hit moves is a must such as Tidus' Slice and Dice/Blitz Ace and Wakka's Attack Reels. Kottos hits hard so having the Overdrive Mode Comrade and the Celestial Weapons' Triple Overdrive will allow your overdrive gauges to max out easily.

If all the weapons, armors, and recommended owners of the overdrives above are set as your party members, simply keep on using their Overdrives until Kottos falls.
