| Zero is a useful support unit with an ATK buff that makes her capable to being placed in many team setups. As long as she is on the field first and gets her Second Skill going as fast as possible, players will be able to maximize their main DPS carry's damage. |

| Background | |
| Zero is a guardian of the Library of Babel, with origins shrouded in mystery. She is taciturn and indifferent to worldly matters, often seen with a golden eight-petal flower tucked behind her ear. The teachings of Cosmos and the Library of Babel hold unparalleled value to her. | |
| First Story |
|---|
| Zero, the guardian of the Babel Tower, was first introduced to the members of Eme-an by former director Cosmos. Cosmos announced that he had adopted her, and she would take over his duties in the future, leading the world's oldest secret alliance. Her name, like her past, is "Zero" — void. Eme-an could not find anyone related to her, and even in the Babel Library, which contains all the information in the world, there was no trace of her background. This sparked many speculations and discussions. However, Cosmos, gentle as always, refused to answer any questions this time, and Zero stayed in the Babel Tower, rarely stepping into the outside world. This mysterious girl gradually took over many of Eme-an's tasks, her calm and efficient manner making her an increasingly competent assistant to the director. Until Seer arrived, no one doubted that she was the next spokesperson for the mouthpieces of the gods. All her past records were as blank as fresh snow, and even her birthday was only temporarily set as the day she arrived at the tower. However, if there were an opportunity in the future, why not write new stories on her blank slate? |

| - Outstanding Herbalist - Golden Branch - Shining Star Stats to focus on: - Elemental Anomaly Mastery - Crit Hit Rate - Crit Damage |
| Ancient Mark Layout |
![]() |
Zero's primary objective is to buff the main DPS and to build up Glaring every time she's on the field for more damage, which is why the prioritized stats are focused on Elemental Anomaly Mastery, Critical Hit Rate, and Critical Damage.
Outstanding Herbalist is her 10-piece of choice because it synergizes perfectly with how she's played as well strengthening the rest of the team's ATK by an additional 12%. Golden Branch is the 5-piece to be used since it improves her Anomaly status build-up (Glaring) by 10%, which makes activating it much easier. Shining Star is another 5-piece that's great on her since it improves the charge rate of her Ultimate skill, allowing her to swap more efficiently.
This Ancient Mark recommendation was made based on the assumption that all characters involved have the 5-star version of their weapons.

| Skill | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Winged Radiant Blade | Zero's second skill and the source of her utility - her Party-Wide ATK buff. Each level up raises the buff by two percent, making it more potent. |
| Falling Feather | Zero's first skill. Players will be using this part of Zero's kit the most, since it charges the Vigor needed for Winged Radiant Blade. |
| Phantom Wing | The skill that deals the most damage in Zero's toolkit. |
| Library Access | Its main use is to enhance Zero's basic attack right after triggering Brilliant Night for one devastating AoE attack. |
| Flash Light | Not necessary to upgrade for Zero; only upgrade if you have spare resources. |
| Basic Attack | Not necessary to upgrade for Zero; she will mostly be used for utility rather than actually dealing damage. |
The skills listed here have been arranged in order of priority, with the topmost skill being highest priority.
Upgrade Zero's second skill first to raise the ATK buff she grants to her allies. All the other skills don't neeed to be upgraded unless you're in a situation where Zero has to be used in battle (your main DPS keeps getting defeated easily.)

Zero should be the First Strike of the team so she can get her ATK buff activated as soon as possible. Once her buff is active, switch to Florence, do her rotation, then switch back to Zero. Switch to Logos from time to time to keep her Ultimate Skill charged. When the time is right, trigger Florence's skill and queue Logos and then Zero's ultimate skills right after it.
From there, charge up Zero's buff and do the process all over again.

Ninsar
|
If you have at least Ninsar in your party, then you can pair her with Zero and Shamash. Always use Zero first, get her to grant the party her buff, then switch to Shamash to deal increased damage. Ninsar should be used when you think your main DPS needs extra protection (i.e. if Shamash is near death).
| Strengths | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
• Strong support unit that gives a 30% ATK buff to her allies after a quick, easy-to-do skill rotation. • Light element's Elemental Anomaly ("Glaring") deals strong damage compared to other anomalies in the early game. • Guaranteed to reach Potential Level 5-6 if player completes the "Memory of Babel Tower" event. (if any). |
|||
| Weaknesses | |||
|
• Relatively low DEF means she will need to be switched out for the party's main carry often. • Skill rotation has to be mastered for fast setup of her ATK buff. |
Zero is one of Black Beacon's best support characters because of the ATK buff she grants to her allies during battle. Once a player masters her skill rotation, they can combine this ATK buff with the damage of whatever main carry they have in their team.
Because of the nature of her ability, Zero is one of the most flexible characters in-game. She can be placed in most team setups, with her as the team's First Strike so she can do her skill rotation and cast her party-wide buff.
When using Zero, get her to use the second form of her Second Skill, Brilliant Night, as soon as possible.
This is the ability that gives the party-wide ATK buff, so switch to your party's main DPS carry as soon as the buff is active and do their Skill Rotation before switching back to Zero and build up the buff again.
Raising Zero's Breakthrough level to 1 is one of her three most important upgrades, as it eliminates the need to do four basic attacks from the rotation - making it faster for her to grant the ATK buff. The other two important upgrades are getting her to Potential Level 2 and Breakthrough Level 4, which increases her ATK buff and adds a Critical Damage buff respectively.
Whether you've just switched to her or she's your party's First Strike, Zero's First Skill, "Falling Feather" is ready for use right at the start of battle. Its first use deals multiple stages of Regular Skill Damage, before enhancing the skill into its enhanced form, "Blade Feather".
Using these skills accumulates Vigor for Zero's second skill, which is what we ultimately want to activate.
Zero's basic attacks deal varying increased Basic Attack Damage with each hit she makes, up to four stages. These attacks build up Vigor for her First Skill and hastens its cooldown.
Raising Zero's Breakthrough Level to 1 and unlocking her first Talent eliminates the need to do basic attacks entirely, which drastically hastens her entire Skill Rotation.
After using Falling Feather and Blade Feather for the second time, Zero should have enough Vigor to activate her Second Skill.
Zero's Second Skill, Winged Radiant Blade, not only deals lots of damage to the enemy, but also enhances Zero's basic attack by way of activating her Passive Skill, "Radiant Blade".
Immediately after using her Second Skill, activate it again so you can turn on its second form, "Brilliant Night", which is what we wanted to activate all along.
Just after activating Brilliant Night, use Zero's Basic Attack once to activate Radiant Blade - a powerful attack where Zero slams her sword on the ground, dealing AoE damage.
Right after using Radiant Blade, immediately switch to your team's main DPS so they can benefit from Zero's ATK buff. Ideally, players should use their DPS's own Skill Rotation, then immediately switch back to Zero to activate her Brilliant Night buff again.
It is recommended not to use Zero's ultimate as soon as it is available. Instead, you can queue it after your main DPS carry's own ultimate skill so as to switch back to Zero more efficiently.
| Combo |
|---|
| Falling Feather → Blade Feather → Basic Attack x4 (Pre Breakthrough Level 1) → Winged Radiant Blade → Brilliant Night → Radiant Blade → Switch Character |
This will most likely be Zero's bread and butter combo while you are using her. She's not meant to be a fighter; players will want to get her party-wide ATK buff going as soon as possible, reserving her ultimate skill for later use.
| Potential | Explanation |
|---|---|
| P2 | This increases the ATK buff from Zero's Brilliant Night skill by 15%, making it one of Zero's three most important upgrades next to getting her to Breakthrough Level 1 and unlocking her fourth Talent. |
| P1 | Increases the damage of any attack involving Anzu by 25%. Not as critical as Zero's P2 upgrade, but good to have. |
| P3 | Only necessary if you need to use Zero as an attacker on some missions (i.e. your main DPS was defeated). |
| P6 | Only necessary if you need to use Zero as an attacker on some missions (i.e. your main DPS was defeated). |
| P5 | Just like P3 and P4, Zero's P5 enhancement isn't necessary for her to be useful in her role as a ATK buffer. |
Some potentials were removed due to only being useful for Skill Enhancement or are still being assessed.
