Black Beacon's Monkey Typewriter event rewards you for solving the universe's deepest questions with typing monkeys! Find out the details of this event, when it's set to end, and a few tips on how to play this event.

Earn Rune Shards and materials to level up your characters from Black Beacon's Monkey Typewriter event! Monkey Typewriter is a "clicker"-type mini-game where you must answer deep questions about the universe by typing words on a typewriter.
But you won't be alone! With you are two monkeys with their own typewriters. The more words you type, the more Infinite Bond points you earn. The more Infinite Bond points you earn, the more you can spend on upgrades such as a more efficient typewriter or even more monkeys who can type for you instead.
The event is set to run until May 29, 2025.

If you've played clicker games like Cookie Clicker, then you will be familiar with Monkey Typewriter. The name of the game is to click as much as you can in the early stages, get enough Infinite Bond points to upgrade your monkeys and your typewriters and get to a point where your monkeys and typewriters are doing the work for you.
But before you get there, you will need to balance doing some of the clicking yourself, spending on the most important upgrades (such as monkeys, typewriter efficiency, and typewriter overheating time), and checking on the monkeys periodically so that you can repair the typewriter if it gets overheated.

Since you might probably be busy playing Black Beacon, you will want to make the Monkey Typewriter Event self-sustaining as fast as possible. Early on in the event, you will get Infinite Bond points by typing 1000 and 3000 words, which you can hit by yourself even at the base typing speed of 50 words/click.
Use the 380 Infinite Bond Points to increase your monkeys and how many words they can type. At this stage, you will still have to click on the typewriter, but as you type even more words and hit more wordcount milestones (6000, 10000, 20000, and 50000 words), you will have more Infinite Bond points to spend on getting more monkeys and making their passive typing rates better.

Another part of making the Monkey Typewriter event self-sustaining is to increase the Typewriter Overheating Time. This is so you won't have to check the event so often to repair the typewriter once it's overheated. If the typewriter is overheated but not repaired, your monkeys will stop tying, which deprives you of the words they could've typed toward solving questions and getting you rewards.
Once you've already typed around 20,000 words or so, we suggest putting some of the Infinite Bond points toward upgrading Typewriter Overheating Time. The default Overheating Time, 3 minutes, is too short for you to be able to leave the monkeys to type by themselves for any length of time.
Once you've upgraded Typewriter Overheating Time to 12 or 24 Hours, you can exponentially increase your monkeys' typewriting efficiency by upgrading the typewriter's Typing Efficiency. Even the first upgrade alone ("Typing Efficiency Increased to 2x") can raise your monkeys' typewriting speed from around 5000 words per minute to around 10000 words per minute.
