The Game8 Black Beacon Team has ended coverage as of May 21, 2025. Information on certain pages may not be up-to-date. Thank you for your continued support!

Damage Types Explained

Damage Types in Black Beacon are different modifiers that affect a character's overall damage. Learn about the different damage types and how they're improved.

Damage Types Explained

Not All Damage is the Same

Ereshan Damage Type

There are seven (7) different damage types in Black Beacon, and these are:

  1. Regular Attack Damage
  2. Basic Attack Damage
  3. Enhanced Damage
  4. Charged Damage
  5. Derived Damage
  6. Chase Damage
  7. Ultimate Damage

These affect the overall damage a character dishes out, as certain skills are categorized into different damage types. It's important to check your character's skill info, as not all characters use the same damage type, and even more importantly, not all skills from that same character also use the same damage type.

For example, Zero's first skill deals Regular Attack Damage first, but its second form, Blade Feather, deals Enhanced Damage. Furthermore, her second skill deals Charged Damage instead.

Use Ancient Marks to Improve Specific Damage Types

Ancient Mark Phoenix Tail

While substats like ATK and Critical Damage do increase all outgoing damage, only specific Ancient Marks improve certain damage types as well.

For example, the five (5) piece Ancient Mark "Phoenix Tail" directly increases Derived Damage. Be sure to check out the damage types used by your character and slot in the proper Ancient Mark to upgrade your DPS.
