Black Beacon has four game modes where you can earn various rewards. Follow this guide to see the full list of available game modes.

Game Modes in Black Beacon

Game Modes

Black Beacon offers four game modes where you can start missions with varying levels of difficulty and objectives, earning different rewards upon completion. Some game modes consume Clarity, while others do not.

Story

Story Mode

In Story mode, you will follow the Seer's and other characters' narratives. This mode is split into the Main Story and Side Story. Initiating missions here for the first time consumes 5 Clarity points.

Main Story

Main Story

Here, you will follow the Seer's journey as he becomes the unexpected Head Librarian of Eme-an and the Chief Director of C.A.V.E., working to solve anomalies surrounding the mysterious Beacon.

Side Story

Side Story

Follow the stories of the characters as they try to resolve various issues in their lives. Currently, you can explore the side stories of Ninsar and Enki, Nanna, and Xin.

Resources

Resources Mode

This mode allows you to farm upgrade materials for your characters and their weapons. Resources mode is divided into Stats, Breakthrough, and Skill categories. Missions here require 20 Clarity points, and some must be unlocked based on your Seer Level.

Stats

Stats

Missions in Stats reward you with items for increasing character and weapon levels. There is also also a mission to earn Orelium, a currency used for upgrades.

Breakthrough

Breakthrough

Character and weapon levels have limits, but you can take Breakthrough missions to farm items required for increasing their level caps.

Skills

Skills

Here, you can farm materials needed to upgrade character skills, passive abilities, and regular attacks.

EX

EX Mode

EX mode offers various challenges with different conditions, such as fighting boosted bosses, triggering stage skills, or battling enemies with increased difficulty. Missions in this mode do not consume Clarity points.

Character Tutorial

Character Tutorial

Familiarize yourself with the combat potential of various characters in Character Tutorial. Only obtained characters can be tested in this mode.

Head Librarian's Authority

Head Librarian

In Head Librarian's Authority, you will be tested on using the various abilities of Chronosphere and battling certain story bosses. Missions here can be unlocked by progressing through the Main Story.

Brute Force Mode

Brute Force Mode

In Brute Force Mode, you can add buffs to enemies to increase the point multiplier, making combat more difficult. Reach a certain point threshold to earn rewards like Rune Shards, Orelium, and upgrade materials. There are three missions to complete, each offering a different level of challenge.

Echoes of the Past

Echoes of the Past

Face story bosses once again in Echoes of the Past. Each boss has four missions with varying difficulty levels. You must progress through the Main Story and defeat these bosses before you can challenge them in this mode.

Explore

Explore Mode

Explore mode offers a roguelike experience and high-difficulty combat missions. It is divided into Tome of Fate and Infinite Multiverse.

Tome of Fate

Tome of Fate

Tome of Fate offers a unique experience where you can either go on a mission with a set party in Story Mode or use your own characters in Adventure Mode. Defeat enemies, visit camps to heal characters, or buy blessings in a randomized order. However, each run culminates in a boss fight.

You can earn Seals of Fate here, which are used to purchase rare Ancient Marks.

Infinite Multiverse

Infinite Multiverse

The Infinite Multiverse offers high-difficulty stages, where you must race against time to defeat enemies and earn stars. There are six stages to complete and six Star Level Rewards to achieve in the Preparation Area, each granting 200 Rune Shards, 150 Scars of Infinity, and 20,000 Orelium as one-time rewards.

After completing these stages, you will unlock the Core Area to earn rewards repeatedly after completing a series of challenges.
