The Lesser Sorcerer is an Extremis threat Chaos enemy that you will occasionally face in the Campaign and Operations game modes.

The Lesser Sorcerer can call in a small squad of Chaos troops to assist it and harry you in combat.

Summons several ethereal snake heads that are semi-homing.
Lesser Sorcerer - Knowledge Piercer
Knowledge Piercer
Charges a powerful, straight, unblockable beam of energy.

The Lesser Sorcerer specializes in attacking from range. However, if you do manage to engage it in melee, watch out as he can still counter-attack with his staff.

How to Beat Lesser Sorcerer

Prioritize The Sorcerer

Whenever you see a Lesser Sorcerer, make sure to take him out first. The Lesser Sorcerer can become a real pain when supported by other Chaos enemies.

You would also want to eliminate him as quickly as possible so that he does not summon reinforcements.

Try to Engage in Melee

While not completely helpless, the Lesser Sorcerer is significantly weaker when in melee-range because he cannot use his ranged abilities.

Mind The Eye

The Lesser Sorcerer's Knowledge Piercer ability also shields him from ranged attacks. Find an opening before shooting.

However, be ready to dodge as this ability tracks the last-known location of an attack and automatically does an unblockable counter-attack.

Grenade

The Lesser Sorcerer is prone to being staggered by well-placed explosive grenades.
