Focus Entertainment has officially released their first message regarding Q&A via Focus Together and Steam on September 18, 2024.
Several points have been addressed in the message, ranging from fixing connectivity issues as the top priority to balancing for Operations and Eternal War.
General |
---|
・Connectivity Issues are being addressed and is expected to be improved in a bigger patch planned soon.
・AI Bot Improvements are planned for the campaign regarding their behavior against boss fights and involvement during specific objectives. ・Veteran Difficulty will be adjusted in a future patch, particularly tweaks to AI aggressiveness, to make it fairer for players. |
Operations (PvE) |
・The Assault class, notably the Jump Pack, is being considered for balancing. Data is being collected to figure out how to adress this.
・Changes will be made in a future patch for weapons' Blocking Defence stat to address undeperformance concerns, such as large drawbacks due to lacking Perfect Parry. ・Some tweaks to difficulty are being tested to address user concerns for underperforming weapons such as the Bolt Rifle family. ・A fix is being aimed for the overhealing bug with the Melta family (Melta Rifle and Multi Melta). ・One class per player is expected to persist for regular matchmaking, but a rule change for that is being considered for private lobbies. ・Player XP distribution is being addressed regarding unfair kicks during a mission. When addressed, each player will be expected to receive XP based on actual involvement. ・Suggested saved loadouts with skill tree customization has been mentioned, but is not a priority at the moment. |
Eternal War (PvP) |
・Private PvP lobbies, particularly being able to squad up to 6, have been mentioned and are currently being considered and worked on as part of the roadmap.
・Data collection is in progress for balancing common topics such as melee weapons, shock grenades, Bulwark, and Heavy. Tweaks are expected to come for the first big content patch. ・Team balance after matches are being looked into. ・Spawn locations will be tweaked and spawn protection will be implemented in a future patch to prevent spawn killing. |
Customization |
---|
・New helmet lens colors for armor customization have been mentioned and will be coming soon in the next big patch.
・Customization for Chaos Space Marines (Heretic Astartes) is expected to be expanded in the future, but will not be as modular as Loyalist Marines (Adeptus Astartes) due to lore restrictions. ・Customization will be expanded to include "specific color masks, such as hand, decals, or facemask" in upcoming patches. All successor chapters are mentioned to be added eventually. ・Option to change your Space Marine's face will be added. ・Possible Thunderhawk Customization has been mentioned, but map creation will be prioritized first by the game's art teams. |
QoL and Network |
・Addition of FOV sliders are being considered, while the suggested camera view for left and right shoulder swaps will not be added to the game.
・Optimizing for PvP crossplay is in discussion and a part of it will be solved by the planned custom PvP lobbies. |
Classes and Balancing |
・New classes are in discussion and updates will be made regarding it.
・Gun Strikes will remain without I-frames for intended balancing reasons as mentioned. |
