Healing in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 primarily depends on Medicae Stimms, which can be found scattered across the battlefield. Learn more about how to heal effectively, including how to heal Mortal Wounds, where to locate Medicae Stimms, and other methods to restore your health in this guide.
Ways to Heal |
---|
|
Medicae Stimms are the main way to restore lost health. When used, they restore about 30% of your maximum health on Average Difficulty or higher, with slightly more healing on Minimal Difficulty.
You can find Medicae Stimms throughout operations, so keep an eye out for them to stay in the fight longer.
Contested Health, the white portion of your health bar that appears when you take damage, can be restored with Medicae Stimms as of Patch 3.0. Contested Health can also be recovered by dealing damage or executing enemies.
Contested Health is the white portion of your health bar that builds up as you take damage. You can recover this bit by bit by dealing damage to enemies or fully restore it by executing a staggered enemy.
However, Contested Health quickly dissipates, making it hard to recover. To maximize its recovery, it's a smart strategy to keep a staggered enemy ready for an Execute during intense fights.
Certain Class and Weapon Perks can also help you regain Contested Health faster or slow down its dissipation, improving your chances of staying in the fight longer.
Prior to Patch 3.0, using an area-of-effect weapon like the Melta Rifle or Multi-Melta while having contested health can heal past your Contested Health, often restoring you to full health. However, healing through this method did not remove the Mortal Wounds debuff. This bug has since been fixed.
Prior to Patch 3.0, using the Load Drop between key checkpoints in any Operation used to fully heal you when playing as the Bulwark Class. This has since been patched out.
Class | Perk |
---|---|
Vanguard | Unmatched Zeal Team Perk Melee Finishers of Extremis enemies additionally restore a small amount of Health for any Squad Member |
Vanguard | Adrenaline Rush Signature Perk Melee kills of Majoris or higher enemies restore Health by 1% |
Bulwark | Invigorating Icon Gear Perk When the banner is activated, all Squad Members regain maximum Contested Health |
Heavy | Bonds of Brotherhood Team Perk Reviving a Squad Member restores them to full Health |
There are only a few Class Perks that can actively heal, and they have very specific conditions to do so. The most consitent of these are the Vanguard's Adrenaline Rush which restores a measly 1% health for each Majoris-tier or stronger enemy you kill.
Weapon Perk | Details and Available Weapons |
---|---|
Rapid Health |
When your Health is below 30%, killing 10 enemies in rapid succession restores Health by 5%. Cooldown is 30 seconds. Available on: Auto Bolt Rifle, Bolt Rifle, Heavy Bolt Rifle, Bolt Carbine, Bolt Pistol, Heavy Bolt Pistol, Instigator Bolt Carbine, Occulus Bolt Carbine |
Elite Health |
When your Health is below 30%, killing a Majoris-level or higher enemy with Melee Damage restores Health by 5%. Available on: Multi-Melta |
Instant Health |
When your Health is below 30%, killing 3 enemies or more with one shot restores Health by 5%. Available on: Las Fusil |
Weapon Perks offer solid health restoration options, though they only activate when your health drops below 30%. Despite this limitation, they're still valuable as they're relatively easy to trigger and can be the difference between dying or surviving a difficult encounter.
To activate these Weapon Perks more reliably, focus on increasing the Pierce stat for Bolt weapons. The Multi-Melta is also a great choice since it allows for consistent Executions on Majoris enemies, granting a 5% health restoration with each Execute.
Ways to Heal Mortal Wound |
---|
|
Mortal Wounds is a debuff you gain after being incapacitated. Using Medicae Stimms to heal to full health removes this debuff.
Since being incapacitated while having the Mortal Wounds debuff results in death and a long respawn delay, it's best to use Medicae Stimms after being incapacitated to heal both your health and the debuff.
Using the Guardian Relic that you can randomly obtained in Operations to revive heals you from Mortal Wounds upon revival. However, it does not restore your health to full, only bringing you to the default health level for a standard revival.
Where to Find Medicae Stimms |
---|
|
Medicae Stimms are most commonly found near Ammo Caches or major checkpoints at key locations during each Operation.
Random supplies, including Medicae Stimms, can be found scattered around the battlefield. Keep an eye out for these in various corners of each area, and be sure to share their locations with teammates by pinging any supplies you discover. This can help keep your team well-equipped during intense battles.
In addition to random supplies scattered throughout each operation, stacked breakable green wooden crates can also be found, containing random supply items. These crates can be pinged for your team and destroyed with either melee or ranged attacks, making them easy to access during intense moments.
