The alternate game modes, Operations and Eternal War, include story elements from the Campaign and may contain story spoilers. For this reason, it's recommended to complete the Campaign first, as it eventually requires you to clear specific Operations to progress.
Additionally, playing through the Campaign helps you get familiar with the various mechanics, weapons, and enemies you'll encounter in Operations.

Best Class for Operations | Difficulty and Threat Level Guide |
When starting the PvE Operations game mode, it's recommended to play on the lower difficulty settings, such as Minimal or Average. Although the harder difficulties provide more experience for your Class and Weapons, the Armory Data obtained in the lower difficulties is essential for upgrading early game weapons to the Master-Crafted Tier.

Each class has a set of Class Trials available in the Armoring Hall, where you can test your skills through a series of short, fixed challenges. These trials are designed to teach you the toolkit and playstyle of each class. Completing them rewards you with Requisition and Master-Crafted Armory Data used for unlocking Customization options and Weapon Upgrades.

Armory Data Locations | Gene-Seed Locations |
Each Operation may contain Armory Data, which is essential for weapon upgrades. The tier of Armory Data you acquire is based on the difficulty level of the Operation. Armory Data can be obtained by finding the small hidden drones throughout the area or obtained by defeating a boss.
Gene-Seeds are special items that one player can pick up and carry until the end of an Operation. Successfully completing an Operation with a team member holding a Gene-Seed grants bonus EXP for the entire party. However, if the Gene-Seed carrier is incapacitated, they lose the item along with the EXP bonus.
Stacked green crates can be found throughout all Operations. When destroyed with a melee hit or any attack, they drop supplies like Ammo, Armor Packs, and most importantly, Medicae Stimms. Keep an eye out for these crates to secure valuable bonus resources.

Fencing, Balance, and Block Defense | Parry Timing and Perfect Parry |
While you may know that attacks with a blue indicator are parryable and those with a red indicator are not, all other attacks without any a colored indicator, including boss ones, can also be parried. However, though not every successful parry will trigger a Gun Strike, it's still a good habit to study enemy attacks and learn which ones to parry.
Parrying regular attacks from Minoris enemies is possible but generally not recommended, as it often leaves you vulnerable to being surrounded.
Executions repair a significant portion of your armor and are crucial for survival, especially when facing overwhelming hordes. Additionally, if you’ve taken damage recently and have Contested Health, Executions restore all the health you would have lost.
A simple way to set up an Execution is by performing a running or dodge Melee Attack. This knocks down Minoris enemies, leaving them vulnerable for a Gun Strike Execution. Executing enemies in this way restores Contested Health, repairs your armor, and triggers any on-Gun-Strike or on-Kill effects
In addition to Weapon Upgrades, each weapon has a Weapon Perk tree that further enhances its performance. To unlock more Mastery Points for Weapon Perks, you must level up different Weapon Upgrades by using them in combat. Once mastered, you'll earn a Mastery Point. Alternatively, you can spend Armory Data to instantly fully master a Weapon Upgrade, bypassing the need to level it up manually.
Medicae Stimms not only restore your health but also heal the Mortal Wounds debuff when they bring your health to 100%. Mortal Wounds are inflicted after being incapacitated, and your next incapacitation results in death, followed by a lengthy respawn time. To prevent this, it's best to use Medicae Stimms to fully heal and remove the Mortal Wounds debuff.
