The title class becomes available after you develop the Incantations Lab. Speak to the pair of Freelance Mages in the Terrology Room.

To unlock the Auto-BP Recovery ability, defeat 30 enemies after annexing at least one territory to activate the feature to learn abilities. This grants passive buffs from the ability. To master Auto-BP Recovery, defeat an additional 30 enemies once the feature to master abilities is available after annexing seven territories. Mastery allows Auto-BP Recovery to be equipped across any class.

To gain access to the Witch's Cap formation, appoint Freelance Mage (F) as the Emperor. Afterward, visit the Training Hall and speak to the Soldier NPC to unlock this new formation.
