How to Start The Iris and the Minstrel
Learn About the Minstrel in Yuyan
You will first hear about a mysterious Minstrel when visiting the Yuyan Tavern in the Yauda region. Yuyan is accessible by boat from Teretuva.
The Iris and the Minstrel Rewards
Unlock the Iris Class
Completing The Iris and the Minstrel will unlock the playable Iris class. This winged fighter has high Speed and Magic, making them a powerful caster class.
Winged Quintet Formation Unlockable
If an Iris becomes emperor, The Winged Quintet formation will become available after talking to the soldier in the Avalon Training Hall. This formation improves Aerology damage and Speed for the rear unit and Aerology defense for all others.

Track Down the Minstrel's Instruments

| 1 |  Visit the Yuyan Tavern and speak to the shopkeeper to learn about the traveling Minstrel. You'll learn that the Minstrel visited the Iris Village, and the Mt. Chikapa dungeon will unlock. |
| 2 |  Before going after the Minstrel, though, you must find his five instruments. Speak to the other NPCs to learn that he went to Mowlie. |

In Mowlie you will learn that the Minstrel went to Zemio. Even if you allowed Comroon Volcano to erupt, the Zemio Archive building will be accessible if you retrieved the Stone Boat from Salamat. | 4 |  To speak to the correct NPC at Nomad Village ou must have cleared the Landship dungeon and defeated Bokohn. They will tell you the Minstrel went to Ponente Village in the Savannah. ▶Steppe Story Walkthrough |
| 5 |  In Ponente, you will be directed to find Mole Village, under the Savannah. If you have defeated the Termite Queen and saved the Mole Village, you will find the Minstrel's Conga instrument there. ▶How to Unlock Mole Class |
| 6 |  From Mole Village, you will need to visit Teretuva, Atlanticus, Toba, and then Nuono. If you have resolved The Corsair's Dilemma, you can get the Minstrel's Bassoon from a Corsair there, before being sent to Saigo Village. ▶The Corsairs' Dilemma Quest Walkthrough |
| 7 |  An NPC at Saigo Village will unlock access to the Minstrel's Cave dungeon. Enter the dungeon and proceed through it to the end, where you will recover the Minstrel's Flute. |
| 8 |  The final instrument, the Minstrel's Horn, is located back in Avalon, at the Full Moon Inn. Proceed to Mt. Chikapa after retrieving it. |
| 9 |  At the top of Mt Chikapa you will meet an Iris. If you have collected all five instruments, the Iris will join the Empire and be available for recruitment, completing the quest. ▶How to Unlock Iris Class |
