Always Check the Turn Order

The turn order will be visible by default during combat. This will allow you to see the upcoming order that units will move in a specific turn as well as the order for the next turn. This can be utilized in multiple ways such as allowing characters to hit more before a battle ends to capitalize on glimmer attacks and learn new skills or to know which targets to eliminate first.

Target Enemy Weaknesses

Enemy weaknesses will be visible after exposing it once. When you hit your enemy's weaknesses, not only will you deal double damage, you will also be able to charge your Overdrive Gauge.

Charge your Overdrive Gauge and Use United Attacks

Charging up your Overdrive Gauge then using it at the right opportunity can change a difficult fight's outcome to your advantage. Target enemy weaknesses then fill up the gauge then use it to burst down durable targets or eliminate key threats in a fight.

Use Status Ailments to Stop Enemy Turns

Status ailments can provide certain advantages during fights. There are several status ailments such as paralyze, stun, and sleep that can prevent an enemy from being able to act during their turn so capitalize on these to lessen the amount of damage you take especially during tough battles.

Defend Against Hazardous Attacks

Enemies will often display a threat icon when they're about to use a strong attack. These are called Hazardous attacks and be sure to always act accordingly when an enemy is preparing the said move. You can either inflict status ailments on them to prevent them from using the move, healing your party members, or defending to lessen the damage it can do.

Change Formations to Match Your Strategy

Lastly, we highly recommend to always adjust your formation depending on your current party and strategy. Changing your formation can greatly affect how battles will go but be sure to always keep all your characters alive. Having a character be incapacitated will cause the formation to fail and will make your team lose all of the formation's advantages.
