Romancing Saga 2 - Amazon Amazon Vigorous Attacker Salamat In the "Warriors of the Jungle" quest, as a female Emperor, go to Amazon Village and choose to help defeat Rocbouquet. If your Emperor is male, you must first defeat Rocbouquet to enter the Amazon Village.
Romancing Saga 2 - Automaton Automaton Poker Face North Varennes Complete the quests "Constructing the Leon Bridge" and "The Mystery of the Canal," then visit Hiraga in Somon to unlock the Automaton class. If the quest doesn’t trigger, you may need to advance to the next generation first.
Romancing Saga 2 - Corsair Corsair Overdrive Gauge North Longit Unlock the "The Corsair's Dilemma" questline and navigate through the Waterway Maze or Cape Chalier. When you reach Nuono, speak with the Corsair captain and select "I accept your surrender."
Romancing Saga 2 - Court Mage (F) Court Mage (F) Spell BP Reduction North Varennes This class can be recruited right from the beginning of the game.
Romancing Saga 2 - Court Mage (M) Court Mage (M) Post-Combat BP Recovery North Varennes This class can be recruited right from the beginning of the game.
Romancing Saga 2 - Crusader (F) Crusader (F) Healing Proficiency Cumberland During the "A Problem of Succession" quest, ensure Cumberland doesn't fall to Cyfreet and assist King Harold's children. Do not leave Cumberland until the quest is complete, or the class will be locked out.
Romancing Saga 2 - Crusader (M) Crusader (M) Damage Converter Cumberland During the "A Problem of Succession" quest, ensure Cumberland doesn't fall to Cyfreet and assist King Harold's children. Do not leave Cumberland until the quest is complete, or the class will be locked out.
Romancing Saga 2 - Dancer Dancer Cashback South Longit Complete the quest "Search for the Mermaid". Drink the mermaid potion 3 times to time skip, then visit the Mermaid again.
Romancing Saga 2 - Desert Guard Desert Guard Provoker Melu Make your way to Teretuva and finish the "Hunting the Wandering Lake" quest. Decide whether to strike a deal with Noel or face him in combat. You can unlock the class afterwards.
Romancing Saga 2 - Diver Diver Auto-HP Recovery South Longit Complete the "The Storm and the Sunken Ship" quest to unlock the Diver class.
Romancing Saga 2 - Diviner Diviner Umbra Benison Komroon Island Complete the quest "Tsukijima's Grimoire of Eld" and retrieve the grimoire from the Emerged Island dungeon after allowing the Comroon Island volcano to erupt.
Romancing Saga 2 - Freelance Mage (F) Freelance Mage (F) Auto-BP Recovery Incantations Lab Developing the Incantations Lab will automatically recruit the Freelance Mage.
Romancing Saga 2 - Freelance Mage (M) Freelance Mage (M) Resplendence Incantations Lab Developing the Incantations Lab will automatically recruit the Freelance Mage.
Romancing Saga 2 - Heavy Infantry Heavy Infantry Auto-Parry North Varennes This class can be recruited right from the beginning of the game.
Romancing Saga 2 - Hunter Hunter First Striker Savannah Complete the quest "Nightmare of the Savannah" and annex Savannah.
Romancing Saga 2 - Imperial Blacksmith Imperial Blacksmith Smithy North Varennes Finish the "Pride of the Fabri Family" quest, which requires finding five rare ores. These can be located in the Ludon Highlands, Salamat, Melu Desert, Mt. Comroon, and Termite Den.
Romancing Saga 2 - Imperial Guard (F) Imperial Guard (F) Tough Hide Imperial Guard Formation After annexing 9 regions, you can form the Imperial Guard through Development. The class will be unlocked afterwards.
Romancing Saga 2 - Imperial Guard (M) Imperial Guard (M) Critical Striker Imperial Guard Formation After annexing 9 regions, you can form the Imperial Guard through Development. The class will be unlocked afterwards.
Romancing Saga 2 - Iris Iris Aero Benison Yauda To unlock the Iris class, head to Yuyan and finish the "The Iris and the Minstrel" quest.
Romancing Saga 2 - Levante Guard Levante Guard BP Saver Yauda Complete the quest "Sekishusai, the Loyal Retainer" in Castle Chonto.
Romancing Saga 2 - Light Infantry (F) Light Infantry (F) Swift Combatant North Varennes This class can be recruited right from the beginning of the game.
Romancing Saga 2 - Light Infantry (M) Light Infantry (M) Light as a Feather North Varennes This class can be recruited right from the beginning of the game.
Romancing Saga 2 - Martial Artist Martial Artist Tech Damage + South Varennes Go to Nibel and speak with the villagers, then head to Dragon Lair and talk to the Martial Artist, choosing to help him. After defeating the Slimy Fiend in the Fiends' Cloister, avoid killing the final boss and instead report back to the Martial Artist in Dragon Lair. This is the most reliable method to unlock the class.
Romancing Saga 2 - Mercenary (F) Mercenary (F) Max BP Up North Varennes This class can be recruited right from the beginning of the game.

Romancing Saga 2 - Nereid Nereid Hydro Benison South Longit Complete the quest "Search for the Mermaid". Drink the mermaid potion 3 times to time skip, then visit the Mermaid again.
Romancing Saga 2 - Ninja Ninja Analysis Yauda After triggering the quest "The Ninja of Yuyan", help the Ninja trapped in Chonto Castle's prison.
Romancing Saga 2 - Nomad (F) Nomad (F) Chemist The Steppe Go to The Steppe and meet the Nomads at the Nomad Village to start the "Taking Out the Landship" quest. Agree to help destroy the Landship, and after defeating Bokhohn, this class will be unlocked for recruitment.
Romancing Saga 2 - Nomad (M) Nomad (M) Waste Not, Want Not The Steppe Go to The Steppe and meet the Nomads at the Nomad Village to start the "Taking Out the Landship" quest. Agree to help destroy the Landship, and after defeating Bokhohn, this class will be unlocked for recruitment.
Romancing Saga 2 - Ranger (F) Ranger (F) Corruptor North Varennes This class can be recruited right from the beginning of the game.
Romancing Saga 2 - Ranger (M) Ranger (M) Ruiner North Varennes This class can be recruited right from the beginning of the game.
Romancing Saga 2 - Saigo Clansman Saigo Clansman Survivor Nazelle To unlock the Saigo Clansman class, complete the "Retaking the Trade Route" and "The Mus' Migration" quests.
Romancing Saga 2 - Salamander Salamander Pyro Benison Comroon Island In the "The Volcano's Eruption" questline, go to the crater of Mt. Comroon and select "Break apart the hardened lava!" Afterward, speak with the Salamander Chief. Keep in mind that recruiting the Salamander will prevent you from recruiting the Diviner and unlocking Umbrology.
Romancing Saga 2 - Strategist Strategist Spell Damage + Build the Imperial University and Defeat Bokohn. To unlock the Strategist, build the Imperial University, then talk to the Strategist. Head to The Steppe to begin the "Taking Out the Landship" quest and agree to assist the Nomads to take down the Landship. Afterward, return to the University, ask the Strategist for aid, and continue the questline. Concluding by defeating Bokhon will unlock both the Strategist and Nomad classes.
Romancing Saga 2 - Vagabond (F) Vagabond (F) Scavenger North Varennes Complete the "Avalon's Cat Burglar" quest. Be sure to assist Cat on the rooftops and take her secret route into the Canal Fortress.

Romancing Saga 2 - Learning Formationg
Choosing a character of a specific class to become an Emperor unlocks new Formations for your team. Each class has its own unique Formation that you can learn once you ascend them as Emperor. To unlock more Formations, simply choose a new class for ascension, then head to the Training Hall and chat with the Soldier NPC to discover even more tactical Formations for your squad!
