Equip Weapons that Target Weaknesses

Romancing Saga 2 Weakness

It's important to use weapons or spells that the enemy is weak to to deal more damage and fill the Overdrive gauge. You can equip two different types of weapons to cover more weaknesses.

Avoid Saving BP Too Much

Romancing Saga 2 Learn New Formations

Use skills and spells that consume BP to defeat enemies more quickly, even if they're simple mobs. BP doesn't get restored after every battle or when a character levels up, so be mindful of when to use skills or spells, as receiving damage, even from simple mobs, can reduce your LP.

BP can be restored by consuming BP-restorative items such as the Puissance Liquor, or by interacting with the green BP recovery zones in the overworld.

Learn Formations After a New Emperor is Chosen

New Battle Formations can be learned by speaking to the soliders in the Battle Formation Training Camp in Avalon. Talk to the soliders after the emperor changes, as new formations are influenced by the emperor's class.
